I was watching him play Fabio, he broke and made nothing, but he used his index finger to point and count each ball, after he point counted the 9th ball He then pointed with his index finger at his chair for the 10th, classy and amusing it was a nice touch :D

haha...he's a funny bloke at times. Just counting the balls like that was funny seeing a pro do it. The seat point was an added touch:D

LOL! I wonder what Fabio's response was? Steve is known for his sense of humour at the table, something that seems to appear more when he is playing pool then snooker.

Yeah, I remember when he used to be so serious at the snooker table (& who can blame him?) & people thought he was so dull, hence the nickname Steve "Interesting" Davis. I've always found him to be a genuinely funny guy away from the game. Also, perhaps he's lightened up as he's gotten older & is just having more fun nowadays. All in all, a good bloke.

whenever i see steve in one of the trick shot competitions, he never fails to crack me up!

Steve totally downplays his Pool game, saying he doesn't know how to play. Wonder what Fabio would say to that? In the interview after the match he only talks about how lucky he was, and how inadequate he feels in this field of champions.

I will rib him about this today. Offer to give him some free lessons. Hey, the man can play, cool under fire, never flustered, makes everything (almost) and a great safety player. When I watch him seated in the chair between turns, he looks like a man sitting at home in his den watching the telly. So relaxed and comfortable, not a care in the world.

Somewhere deep down inside, is the heart of a champion, who would dearly love to add a World Pool title to his six World Snooker Championships. I'm rooting for him. He is the underdog here, but a lovable one.

Nice attitude!

Steve Davis won my heart last night with his attitude... :)

I mean his game with Fabio was full of mistakes from both sides but as he said in the interview after the match, in games like pool you just sit and wait for a chance at the table... and you never know when you can turn the game around...

He's gonna have to step-up his game though if he's gonna beat the Filipino whom he faces next...

I'd love to see Steve go far in this tournament... go Steve!!!

I love to see Steve play and Fabio attitude is very good. Fabio made few mistake in the later part and he just move on. Cool.
