Anyone have any descriptions about how they play and his execution of designs? I'm on his list and was wanting some outside input from some owners and players alike who have owned and hit with some. Thanks-Ryan.

I have a snakewood ivory cue that is probably the best or 1 of the best wood work and points I have ever seen.
After I played with it a bit I got him to make me a player of killer curly with an ivory joint and big pin, it is the only cue I have played the last year. He is in the process of making me another as I type.
I cannot say enough about his quality and workmanship Along with playability.

cheers---------------BW

Awesome cuemaker, awesome cues.

Steve really cares about his customers, and goes to great lengths to make them happy.

Myself, and a good buddy of mine, both have a Klein cue. Fit and finish are exceptional....and each cue plays fantastic. I have another on order with him now.

Nothing but great things coming from Steve Klein's shop. He has achieved greatness in a relatively short amount of time. Extremely tight execution, and solid players. The one that I owned was very simple but played like a million bucks. I know several people that play with them and they ALL love the way they play.

I agree fully with Shortman. I have shot with both if his Kleins and cant say enough good things about them!!

Cya soon BW!

I agree! I have a Klein with a 3/8x11 pin and love it!! Steve is simply beyond excellent when it comes to your needs. He made me a OB-1 partial with matching dash ring within 4 days!! He just simply went out of his way to make me happy. Plus! he always answers whateve cue question I ask. No matter how 'dumb' they are. He is lights out GREAT!

I agree- Steve is a fine, fine person to deal with. As I recall, he is also a member here.

A question for you though- what are you doing on his list if you are asking about workmanhip and playability:confused: ?

I'm betting that he's taking a shot in the dark. I've done that once or twice myself!! :) :) Some were well worth the gamble...and some were not. Mr. Klein's cues are DEFINITELY worth it!!!

Steve is a member here. Screen name is cutter

I liked the Klein that I had a few years ago...

Ebony 4 point sneaky with g-10 pin... Played very well

I played the best pool ever when I owned a very elaborate ebony, ivory, g-10 pinned Klein. I went through a divorce and had to get rid of it. Man, I would like to have that one back. I know who has it, too. It has been through two owners and now I don't think is for sale.

Highly recommended!

Steve is great to work with and his cues are excellent. Great finish, solid hit. I have three now with three different pins. I like the hit of the brass radial the best, though the g10 radial hits nice too.

Can't stress enough what a pleasant experience I've had working with Steve. Excellent communication throughout.

Hi,

I recently received my second Klein cue and am on his list for a third. In my opinion, they are absolutely phenomenal, both in looks and function. My new one has replaced the cue I've used for eight years!

Regards,

Steve

I met Steve Klein a little while back. I still meet up with him from time to time since I live within 30 mins or so fo him. I've discussed cuemaking quite a bit with him as well as many other issues. He is a great guy that knows what he's doing and does it extremely well. He definitely has talked with me and is willing to help me out with everything I have discussed with him.

His cues are of superb quality with fit and finish. They also have quite a sweet hit to them in my opinion. He is definitely very easy to talk to and get along with and he will definitely go a ways out of his way for his customers. I enjoyed talking with him so much and with seeing what he can do....I handed him one of my 1-piece titlists and told him to have fun with it and that I would see it when he is done. He is very talented and I will definitely have more than one of his cues!

Thanks

This thanks goes to shortman, 8-ball Rat, ugotactionTX, cajunbarboxplayer, Justlovecues, Black-Balled, BPG24, crawfish, Mike M, Hunter, john_34, and DJKEYS, you certainly had some positive posts full of experiences and appreciate the words.

Black Balled: I am taking a shot in the dark, I have to, not any custom cues to hit with around these parts. Have taken a few swings blindfolded and ended up with two Skip Westons and a Petree :D

Hunter: DJKEYS:Thanks for the links, quite nice of you.

To the rest: Straight up thanks. -Ryan

I have one being made right now that will be my new player.

It will be very classy, with an old-school theme and a stainless steel joint, as I've heard Steve's piloted joints play great (for those that like piloted joints). This cue will also have a few tricks up it's sleeve.

I will be more than happy to post pictures and a review of this beauty when I get it!

By everyone's replies, it seems that Mr. Klein makes a terrible cue and is tough to deal with!:)

It is nice to hear great things about a cuemakers work and also is a huge plus that they treat their customers good. When I hear bad things about a cuemaker or see how they treat people, it is a big factor on wheather I would play with one of their cues. There are a few cuemakers out there that I wouldn't support based on the way they conduct business. Besides selling a great cue, the cuemaker is also selling themselves too. Klein is on a short list of cuemakers who I would not hesitate to deal with and give business to.

A pic.......
