Hi,

I´m from Germany, so please excuse my bad english...

I have 2 questions, and I hope that someone can help me. Nobody in Germany can help me with it...

I have 2 Cues and I wanna know the value of both of them.
First one is a Steve Mizerak...thats all I know about it. Here is a pic of it:

Second one is unknown...some people say it is a joss, some say it is a biagio. Maybe you know exactly what it is:

I wanna know which cue I got there and whats the value for both of them.
More pics in my Album.

Thank you!

The first cue isn't worth much. It is an Asian import. I can tell you some history of the company and cues if you like. Generally these cues are worth between 35 and 75 US dollars...some can sell for more on Ebay, I have seen some fancier ones go for 150-175 but that is a really inflated price I think. They have little or no collector or player interest. As it happens I have several and am interested in them, but you would be hard pressed to find others with much interest in these cues. So, I am interested in some of the Mizerak cues, and this is in fact one of them.

I got a glance of the other cue but have to look later (I am at work).

The other could be JOSS or Biagio or both in fact as some Biagio were made by JOSS while others were Asian. I will look at it again later but we may need more pictures of the bumper etc.

As much as I admire Steve and his shooting abilities , He sold his name to any one that had a dime . His name is on some real Junk . Both those cue look very nice , I had a cue with the same Logo as the top cue . Cue shot nice , seemed like a good cue . GL Jim

That's the "Dove Logo". Indeed, some of them did shoot nice. Some of them had decent shafts and nice butt wood. But they were a bit hit and miss on quality. A fair number of them have loose joint collars and loose shaft rings as well, it is common for them. On a plus side, many of them were full splice. The veneer work is spotty but some were quite nice.

They were made in Taiwan by the same company that made the old Cobra cues. In fact some of the models were identical. The company was Kao-Kao.

I have spoken with two of the original people involved in the import of these cues and the Cobra cues. Both of them dealt directly with Mizerak in fact. As I said, I have some of that history...

That exact model of Mizerak cue sold on Ebay in excellent condition on March 5th 2012 for US $92.00 and it had been upgraded to a genuine linen wrap. The wrap on your cue looks to be the original synthetic.

I have a record of the sale on my hard drive and can send you a PDF of a screenshot of the Ebay sale if you like.

I am just about to look into the second cue you posted.

Have to agree with you Jimmy on that one.
I was at a Winners Store a while back. Do you guys have them in the US?

They had a pile of Miz cues, the absolute most God awful looking pieces of Chinese junk you could imagine. $5 a piece.

I was thinking of buying them all and seeing how much I could turn these over on Fleece Bay for but decided not to.

I was going to do it for a laugh but figured the last laugh was probably going to be on me.

I already have enuff tomato stakes.

Are you talking about the ones with the Dove Logo? Please tell me they were not Dove Logo cues......

If so, you would have made a killing on Ebay. Seriously. The one above sold for more than 90 bucks recently as I said.

If you are talking about the others, like the ones with the green Mizerak logo or the Chinese Mizerak cues....they weren't even worth the five bucks.

If they were Adam Mizerak cues...I can't even begin to tell you how much money you passed up...but I know they weren't Adam....they haven't been made since the early eighties.

Thx for your help and your time.

I feel like I know I have seen that butt sleeve before, but I don't remember what it is. I am thinking it may be a JOSS Biagio but I am not certain, it's just a feeling. Others have told you the same so that may be on track.

Pics of the bumper and joint faces/pin might help.

It's not a JOSS, but it may be a Biagio.

I'm 98.738% sure it's an Asian made cue...possibly Biagio branded.
