Got a message from Facebook about someone having what looks like a prototype for the old Steve Mizerak cues. Does anyone know anything about this one?

--------

I was inquiring about a Prototype Sample Pool Cue I have here it is a Mazerak “The Mix” cue and matching 9ball blank case…Ai says it is the only known one as there were likely only a handful made to showcase to vendors for mass production…I was wondering the value and any info you may be able to share with me as Ai mode lead me your direction about this sample…I aquired it from Madison,New Jersey as Ai said this was very close to where Steve Mazerak’s stomping grounds were when he took off with his brand…

The cue says Mizerak, but a lot of your post says Mazerak. There was a line of cues sponsored by Steve Mizerak, likely Asian-made a few decades ago. The cue pictured looks to be a much newer cue, I'd say likely Asian-made, and having nothing to do with Steve Mizerak.

not likely much value. as steve just had a deal with a foreign company to make cues with his name on them. i think the wooden cues he had some input on. i dont remember what he said about them as he wasnt talking to me, but he didnt seem to care. just a money extra for his name i guess. he was a really good guy, signed autographs and would talk to bangers, which most pros avoided like the plague.
but he did get a kick out me of telling him, how his dad threw us out of his pool room in metuchen or some town near there, saying he didnt want us hustling his son. who by the way was running a hundred balls like every day.

someone probably would pay a couple hundred bucks for it. i wouldnt.

something chop doc might want or at least have more knowledge about it.

it was the step before carbon fibre. i hope the next step is back to wood. but im old and stuck in my ways.
