Stevie moore true professional!!!!

I wouldn't use Frank as an example of a good tourney director. That may have been teh one time Earl should not have been tossed.

If they would of tossed Stevie there would be many more people *****ing about how unfair it was they deprived him a chance to make money and how Shane is TAR's boy and they did it on purpose.

You can't make everyone one happy.

Wait a minute, why are you throwing Shane under the bus here? From everything I have seen and heard Shane didn't do shit wrong but tell Stevie that the tournament had to make money too, then he was very rudely insulted.

I am in no way throwing Shane under the bus, All I was saying is, If the decision would of been to toss Stevie, there would be a ton of people on here whining about how there was some kind of conspiracy.

Shane acted like the professional he is.

Nick,

Sounds like you are a good and successful manager. Just one question please. After you make the "adjustments" do you inform your people and distributor partners about them or do you just sit back and hope those affected will somehow hear about the new adjustments? Just wondering.

$10 is coffee money. I don't think I would have written a policy paper and held 10 meetings explaining the rational behind the policy change and if I did it doesn't make Mark less of a business person if he doesn't.

Those "peons" should thank their lucky stars that Mark CHOOSES to put on pool tournaments on for them at all! Some of them are crybabies all the time. Stevie lost it this time. Hopefully he learns from it, and hopefully Mark finds a way to avoid any miscommunication in the future. In the end, it is his show, and he can run it any way he sees fit. The players should be grateful. You are not seeing pool promoters standing in line to promote big money events...especially here in the USA.

I've always liked the way Mark signs his name and then includes his title just to be sure that the peons know who he is.

Most people don't realize Mark makes his money from the amateur events not the pro events. If would probably be in his best interest to have amateur events only.

The pros should feel lucky to be playing at all.

No problem with that at all, Nick. I agree completely. Mark should be able to make any rule he wants. However, when, according to Justin, one minute he agrees to open the table and another minute (actually 20 minutes) he gets "religion" and closes the table, that can create a problem.

The mature thing to do in that situation as a player is to just realize that there has been a slight change in plan and then take a few minutes to go get some coins and put them into the coin-slider in the table, and then get on with practice. And then if they really need to get it out of their system, maybe mention the discrepency with the TD.

Of course, one can take the other route and go negative, blow the issue out of proportion, piss-off the tournament operators and associates, and possibly shark your opponent. Of course, it won't hurt you because you can cool off and come back 10 minutes later and normal and people will say you're such a professional for acting cool after the fact

I'd personally take the first route and hope my opponent would as well.
