Stiff hitting Sneaky Petes

In your opinion - what cuemaker or production line Mfg makes the stiffest hitting "sneaky" Pete out there - Thank you for your opinion.

Bob Frey along with a couple other guys will make 1 stiff if you request it that way. If thats what you are looking for, Barringer, Chuck Starkey, and quite a few other guys will make 1 for ya.

Tim Scruggs doesn't make em any more but if you find 1 of his on the used market he made some great ones. Greg Hearn ,made some great 1,s also if you can find 1

I'm sure there is a bunch more out there and other swill chime in with some more names

I think what the the gentleman is looking for is more of a mass produced cue.

As far as stiffness goes joss would be one to look at.

Some may point twoards Predator but IMHO they dont hit all that "stiff"

If it were my time and hard earned money I would be looking for a Diviney. I say this as i have two now and had had several others. The best ones have the old drak lakewood shafts but these are hard to come by. Clean examples of his work sell for roughly 300-500 depending on pin, shafts, wood combo's, and condition.

I was under the impression that Bob Frey made most of the Tim Scruggs sneaky petes.

I used to own a Tim Scruggs sneaky pete and can honestly say that its a stiff hitting cue. You won't be disappointed.
 
I would recommend a Mike Stacey, he uses a SW style taper. I had one with a curly shaft and that was by far the stiffest playing cue I'd ever hit with. They come around in the W/FS section fairly often and are usually priced right. Josey is a good recommendation too but harder to find. I own a Pat Diveney and would not call his cues "stiff" by any means. Great hit though.
 
Imho

I have a Mike Stacey and an Ernie Martinez that both hit real stiff. The Stacey has a curly shaft and hits like concrete and puts more action on the ball then any cue I've ever used.

It depends on what shaft you have with that Diveney. If it is one of my lake salvage shafts, it is as stiff as it gets. LOL Pat
