Stiff Shafts

May not be the answer you were expecting but I would go with a predator Z shaft. The Z shaft was originally designed to cope with the use of the over sized cueball.

As far as I am concerned it is the stiffest hitting high performance production shaft on the market. Before someone busts my balls over what a performance shaft is... My definition of a performance shaft is that it is radially consistent... It does not have to be low deflection.....

With that in mind you can go to any quality cue maker and have a laminated shaft made with a stiff taper and get what you want for likely less than a predator or OB shaft since the blanks are available from tons of places at a decent price....

The McDermott G-Core shaft employs graphite fibers in the front of the shaft.

Whereas graphite (40 pounds/cubic foot) is lighter than maple (44 lbs/cu/ft) which reduces squirt due to lower tip mass, it is stiffer than maple and will not deflect (bend away from the CB) as much as maple.

This results in a stiffer shaft than a composite wood shaft of the same diameter.

Just saying.

A 13mm or 12.5mm pro taperd shaft from Joss will help, try using diff tips that will change a few things for you.

Schuler had the widest selection. Some of his shafts were super stiff. Check Noel Mendoza cues. He now makes Schuler cues and shafts. I'm sure he can fix you up with something as stiff as you could hope for.
