There are about 30 or so tickets (out of 120 or so) still up for grabs for the HOF banquet Tuesday night, January 8th at Derby City.

The reserved (VIP) tickets are $100 each, which includes two free drink tickets at the cash bar, and preferred seating at one of the VIP tables with our special guests, which means sitting at the same tables as all of the current and prior inductees.

If any tickets are still remaining when I get to the Derby Saturday afternoon, they become available for $50 each. That gets you into the dinner, but you are on your own at the bar, and you get standard table seating -- but all the seats are good, and all the company is good :)

You can still buy tix online using paypal. The ticket info page is here:
2008 Hall of Fame Dinner

Or Contact Me if you want to reserve now, but pay me at the Derby.

See you there!

Steve,
Just a note to let you (and any uninitiated forum members) know how very enjoyable I found the HOF dinner to be. I attended last year, and am VERY glad that I finally did. It was definitely the highlight of the week. It is a chance to hear the history of the game from those who have participated in it. These stories and reminiscences are NOT available in any book.

Anyone who considers themselves a student of the game owes it to themselves to attend. It is a night you will not forget.

The high point of the derby

I've been to the hall of fame dinner and found it to be my favorite part of the derby experience. Stories about the greatest players by their peers...hilarious moments and an intimate setting where you can meet these people and talk. It is well worth the cost. There is nothing else like it. This year should be especially good with such a powerful list of inductees including Incardona, Jimmy Fusco and the Jansco brothers. The Johnson city stories will be flying. Hope to see you there.

Thanks for the kind words, guys; indeed it is a blast, with legendary players, backers & too numerous to list celebs of 'pool action'

And yes, there are still seats available, but they will go real fast when I get to the Derby and start offering the special Derby City 'general admission' $50 pricing. You can hold out for your chance at one of those (hit me quick when you see me there), or you can go the VIP route, chip in $100 and get VIP seating and a couple of drinks -- and you help support all those special guests!

You can also see Randi Mathews (Grady's wife) who is already at the Derby. She is authorized to take names and collect money to guarantee your seat (general or VIP)!

See you there!!

Steve,

Thanks for putting all of that together for the guys. I look forward to being able to attend someday. Until then, I look forward to reading about the festivities on the forums and in the pool mags.:)

Hope you all have a great time!

Steve,

I emailed you.. My wife and I will take 2 VIP tickets. I'll be there on the 7th, and will pay you at DCC.
