Hi Everyone...
Hopefully all AZer's can help track down the person who stole a Timmy Scruggs from the Highendcues booth...
A heavy set customer came into the booth to make a deal on a Purpleheart Scruggs... Believe it or not he had his wife and kid with him... We made a deal to take in 2 scruggs cues and some cash in on a trade... The customer asked for a receipt on the back of one of our business cards..

The customer walked off with the trade-in Scruggs, which was the large portion of the deal...
A buddy of his stopped by our booth and said he would bring it back.....
That never happened....

Our Purpleheart Scruggs is NOT paid for...
It is very recognizable...
6 Purpleheart points
Ivory diamonds w/ Brass spears above them..
Backend is Purpleheart w/ Ivory and Brass diamonds...
HERE IS A LINK TO THE PICTURE http://www.highendcues.com/scruggs.htm

If anyone locates this person..
Please contact us on this forum, or www.highendcues.com
Thanks,
Ken

Me and my buddies were walking around and realized that some of the booths were more concerned about what was going on then others,my buddy was going to buy a case and he had it in his hands and it took him forever to get help,if he wanted he couldve just walked off but were honest, but some of the people there are not unfortunately which is sad.I hope you find that fu@#in SOB!,maybe in august at VF again,i am sure you wont forget him.

Iam truly sorry for your loss,I will keep a eye out, does he have the shafts?let the other dealers know so we can catch the scumbag!

People are always finding ways to rip off someone. 30 years ago a neighbor was selling his chopper. There was a lot of of activity from the many potential buyers that came to his house. 2 guys and 1 gal walked up the driveway together and were talking. After about 15 minutes one of the males asked to take the bike for a test ride. He took off and never came back. The owner looked at the other couple and said that their friend was gone for a long time. They said that he was not their friend and that they never seen him before. He was just walking up the driveway with them and started a conversation.

It is no longer buyer beware it is more like seller beware.

He has the shafts... Probably around the Philly area.... Think he is a local guy...
Thanks,
Ken

Hate to hear that Ken. We'll keep our eyes open. It's a pathetic thing when a guy pulls off something like this and doubly so in front of his wife and kid.

People are shady sometimes. Correct me if I am wrong but why did you let him walk off with the cue IF he hadnt given you the 2 scruggs and the cash first?

Is that you did not ask for proof of identification, or to hold his drivers
license until he brought the cue back. Damn, and it is a nice looking cue too.

Let me ask...you have his Scruggs that he wanted to trade or no...if so, at least you're completely out...I don't think I would let anyone walk away with a cue that wasn't paid in full for....

I'm curious WHY you let him leave with the cue...

EDIT: I reread your post...I would have held on the his tradein Scruggs....

Here is the deal... He gave us cash and 2 scruggs cues.... Then said Salazar was interested in one of his trades for cash... Joe was around the corner... He wanted to walk it over to make the deal with Salazar and maybe make an extra $100 for himself, saving us the trouble of selling it... We had everything in hand... then gave him to much rope to hang us with...
He was in our booth many times with family... never though he wouldn't come back... His friend who was also with him came back to the booth and said he was stopping at another booth trying to sell it for us...
Salazar remembers the guy, but never closed the deal...
Just can't trust anyone anymore... Our bad..
Best,
Ken
