Stolen Ebony/Purpleheart Jerry Franklin SW and new Justis case

Nothing I hate more than a thief .. Way back when I was young, playing for cash in Binghamton NY, and taking down a stranger in pretty good fashion.

I had to take a leak .. there were 5 or 6 people watching the action .. left my cue at the table and when I returned my cue was gone and so was my opponent!

Asked some of the people watching but they all said they saw nothing, who knows?

Thankfully it was not an expensive cue. The jackass already paid me three times the worth of the cue because his specialty was ignorance and shooting balls into the rail.

But I learned a lesson .. to this day if I am practicing and by myself, when it's time to take a leak I back up and take my stuff with me.

Very happy to hear about the happy ending. Thank you Steve !!

Glad you got your cues back, that's great!

Hopefully the thief/thieves are facing charges.

Good to hear this, glad your cues were recovered. Like many others here I would love to hear how it happened.

It would be nice to hear the story since he did come on here and ask for our help. Weird thing is, we haven't heard back from him at all. We had to find out he got his cues back from another member here.

I am glad that he got his cues/case back. If I had lost those cues, it would have broken my heart (and my wallet).

Two words for anyone that has an expensive case with expensive cues inside....gun safe. It's cheap insurance...one-time cost.

Since Steve and the OP have not chimed in as to the details of getting the cues recovered, I am going to make a guess that it may have been a situation that cannot be made public. Any number of scenarios could have happened involving parties that may remain anonymous. He's a lucky guy that is for sure!

If someone bought them, legally they must return them and are entitled to no compensation. It's your problem if you bought stolen goods. Sometimes deals are made though and that is my guess.
