Too bad Ebay doesn't do their job. They don't care about anything except getting paid their fee. There seems to be too much of this and eventually I think it will ruin them. I think that anyone listing something on Ebay should have to post a bond for at least 10 times the amount of the item being sold and if it is bogus they would have to forfeit it.

I will never understand why some people deliberately try to make their posts difficult to read?!

I do agree eBay is doing a less than stellar job of policing its own policies,,,eBay has grown too large to effectively do anything right,,,one of my customers recently received an empty tube mailer, seems the the customer in 'Dubai' stole his cue and returned the empty mailing tube, saying he wanted his money back,,,LOL,,,,all I heard was $ flying away,,,hard to educate the general public; they all exist in their own little sheltered world and don't realize the crooks lurking out there !

No one was making fun of you, nor were we picking on you. However, you know as well as I do when you capitalize every word in the sentence or type in all caps it takes away from the natural landscape of the sentence, thus making the brain take longer to process. Not to mention the fact that capitalizing every word in a post takes more effort implies that you are no doubt doing it to be difficult.

Wow man you are a rocket!

Try using commas and periods every once in a while people. It makes your comments a little easier for us to read. :D

And although the idea for a forum for scams may sound like a good idea, its not really AZ's responsibility to do ebay's job for them. The best bet, don't buy off of ebay if you don't trust it! Or complain to them.

"eBay experience" ??,,,,yelling 'the sky is falling', without any investigative skills at all, causes legit sellers grief...IMHO,,,my scam-catching track record w/eBay is 100%,,,they investigate what I uncover (with others' help) and act accordingly,,,retired teacher/part-time bank auditor/business owner gives a little more insite into the dishonest world,,,have a sort of 6th sense about things that are not quite right,,

the item in question appears to be legit,,,wait and see.

What are you trying to say that your MR. EBAY? I have alot of experience with ebay and picking out scams and this is the second time that i have posted a scam the first one everyone was as narrow minded as you and said well it looked alright and bang the guy was gone his account now gone with many neg. feedbacks! And if you would look at the other post about this auction you will see that another az member emailed for more pics the guy sent 3 and said that he couldnt send anymore becuse he didn't have his camera????? I have been on ebay since 1996. And i don't really care what you do or what you use to do!!!!

Jack:you have experience just like OPR .i have none about EBAY..i value everyone's posts about the scams...OPR based his post on HIS experience..you have said yourself and everyone agrees this scam business is out of control..scammers are constantly trying for better ways to dupe people..you always print what your credientials are and your opinion is welcomed..i just thought that you and others jumped on OPR too hard...especially to nit pick about someone's printing ability...after all OPR was just trying to help out like YOU..the EBAY ad may very well be legit ..but i would rather be careful and move on to another seller than to be duped by a scammer..you having a 6th sense about things is great ..other people may have too....i do know to investigate something properly that one must have an open mind and be able to listen to all..

?read all the posts on that thread ?,,,,,I don't have to post and tell the world what was or wasn't done,,,,take 2 Prozac and see your therapist Monday !,,,LOL :D

Funny, I thought I was 'crazy unkle doctor jackie' ??

And Jack if your MR.EBAY how did you miss this guy???? http://www.azbilliards.com/vbulletin/upload/showthread.php?t=10847
I don't want to be rude but i received an email asking me how do I spot a scam on ebay I will not answer that question and for fellow scam stoppers i would not post or answer that question either because you might be giving a possible scam-mer bullets for his gun! But please understand I'm not saying the person that contacted me was a scam-mer but I'm saying I'm just saying I don't want to give possible scam-mer info.

This is what the seller had to say. I believe him. He sent me several pics that are not on the auction and are dated the 26th.

I appreciate your concern and I did go and register on the site...which seems to be a great site by the way.....I have went through all the motions of activation but evidently the administrator has not passed it yet and cannot respond....I can assure you this is a legit auction and I thank you for your confidence....enclosed is a couple of new pics including a shot of the butt part of the Joss that confirms the year period of manufacture and a shot of the three in the auction in their cases AND a McDermott and a Mali that will be the fourth cue the winner can choose if the auction goes over $1800....
I have been looking for what sells good on ebay and have tried several different things....I even sold an expensive Les Paul Gibson Guitar and a Fender tube type amp on eBay....as it turns out cue sticks are HOT and these are in my private collection (just started a business and selling some personal things to raise some capital) but am going to pursue a sideline of location and sale of rare pool cues...
Thanks again for your contacting me...
Ray

And speaking of ebay experience, I have 201 transactions with 100% positive feedback. I make no claims to know what is real and what is fake. I make my own judgements and if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

LET ME GUESS HE SENT YOU 3 PICS????? TELL HIM TO SEND YOU MORE OR WHAT I LIKE TO DO ON MY HIGH END ITEMS HAVE HIM TAKE PAPER RIGHT HIS EBAY ID ON IT AND TAKE A PHOTO OF BOTH IN SAME SHOT. If he won't do it then it is a scam. Another thing just a question when i joined here (az) i didn't have to wait at all??? So what the hell is the guy talking about?
