It is indeed frustrating to see a great game die before your eyes. :frown:As an avid straight pool player it is mind boggling that people describe this great game as "boring" and that nobody watches the finals of a great event. You can invent all sorts of fancy explainations for why that is, but I think it is easy. People can't see the beauty of the game, they don't understand what is going on and they can't be bothered to learn. One can complain about it as much as one wants but it's the cold, hard truth. What makes me upset, is the way some blame their boredom with the game on the game itself, rather than their own limited understanding of it. It's as if someone who knows nothing about chess watches a chess game for half an hour, and then dismisses chess as a "boring" game. Of course they are right, in regard to themselves they are the best judges of what they find boring (even if they may learn to love the game after a short study), but when they then start mouthing off and claiming tic tac toe is a superior game, then it is hard to hold ones tongue.
