Strange question: any one-eyed players?

I've seen quite a few 1 eyed shooters also players with 1 lazy eye that are or seem to be natural shotmakers and heard of many 1 eyed so and so's and based on teaching many 2 eyed so and so's I've come to believe that players that shoot with just 1 eye without choice may actually have an advantage by not being exposed to the 2 eye communication process. I said may have an advantage, I have no proof just experience and stories. This doesn't mean I'm telling people who live day to day with 2 eyes to start closing 1, it just means I believe looking at the balls with 1 eye might give one a much clearer or truer picture.
blackjack doesn't Luis Viera have some kind of problem with 1 eye?
 
this guy, ron zamco out of virginia beach has one eye and shoots with a cue he made from a blueberry bush. i'd back him against 90% of the members of this forum...

Hey Crispy,

I only use one eye in pool. I have no focus point in my right eye - just peripheral vision. Been that way since 3 years old. I shoot right handed and have to get the cue all the way under my left eye.

I don't have true depth perception either. Just learned perception based on the size of objects. Seems to work fine for most sports and games. I don't think it's a handicap at all though I don't have anything to base it on.

I win a match here and there!

Hmmm. Mebbe I don't see so straight. Sure looks like Ron's cue is all crooked!

Just kidding. Ron let me take a couple shots with it but it was clearly beyond my comprehension!

It's either extremely limited vision or no vision in one of his eyes - it doesn't matter - from what I have seen it doesn't bother him at all.

That's what I meant, it doesn't bother him but I know it's bothered a lot of FL vacationing pool players!

ah, adding Andy Lincoln to the list of 1 eyed bandits.

Here in RI we had a few tables dedicated to a the late great Roland "1 eyed" Miller.
 
That is one very cool pool cue.

Looks to be ergonomically correct as well. Cue can stay level with less bending.

Cuemakers take note.

Incredible..doesn't look like pure cosmetic reason. Probably it has something to do with his aiming method.
 
For about 30 years Bill Boher was the best one eye player in Mankato, Mn.....SPF=randyg
 
Crispy, I have the same problem.Been that way scince birth.Good left eye,shoot right handed.Just bought a three cushion table. I miss a lot.
