TPA mistake?

In the Filler/De Luna Bigfoot match just played, they didn't show any TPAs as the match proceeded, but then at the end they posted .869 for Filler and .663 for De Luna. I believe both of the numbers are wrong by a lot.

By my counts, Filler pocketed 86 balls and De Luna 54 (but he gets credit for only 53 because of fouling on the break for one of them). With those ball counts, an .869 for Filler would mean he had 13 errors (86/99 = .869) and a .663 for De Luna would mean he had 27 errors (53/80 = .663). That just didn't happen. Filler had a miss in Game 13 that probably counted as 2 errors for being easier than a spot shot, and he had a shot in Game 4 that was either a miss or a safety error. Perhaps he had another error somewhere along the way but not 10 more. And I think De Luna had, perhaps, 10 errors, but not 27.

This mistake is a shame, because Filler's true TPA in that match may turn out to be the best of the event.
I noticed the same.

At match end, I only remembered two significant errors in offensive execution by Josh and he may have missed a two-way shot on the pro side, but his level of play in the match was phenomenal. He broke quite well and his defensive play, which TPA has always tended to misvalue, was exquisite. If he can sustain this level of play, he's the one to beat for the 10ball title.

I'd guess Josh played to somewhere in the .930 to .940 range.

I saw the Filler / De Luna match and thought that Filler played scary good. Then I saw the TPA and thought it couldn’t possibly be right.

He also had a couple of position errors and perhaps another error somewhere along the way but I don't see a total of13 errors. And I think De Luna had, perhaps, a dozen errors, but not 27.

This mistake is a shame, because Filler's true TPA in that match may turn out to be the best of the event (although Corteza is already in with a .930).

i think filler is trumping that "highest TPA of the event" against ruslan

watched sky vs hennessee. unbearable. i think he took one (of several) break to answer his phone. the usual chalking and sharking ofc. wore sky down in the end

Just lovely watching 1P matches 20 feet away from the wrong end of the table.

Would it kill you to have them break from the other end during 1P matches?
Not all of them are mounted from that side. Some are from the rack side.

Breaking from the other side of the table is not the solution. There is a spot line drawn on the rack side for spotting balls plus the players would have to walk to the other end of the table to put up scored balls on their side which could also lead to confusion.

The solution would be to have all the cameras mounted above the rack. Hopefully that is corrected next year.

frank candela may be the slowest but this anthony meglino guy isn't far behind. beat fedor in one pocket, it took forever

I imagine Fedor was just worn out at that point. It is a shame someone has to play from 9am to 1am, we aren't getting anywhere near the best pool out of them. It is just going to make all of them sick and stop coming to DCC.

He's been slow since he started playing, no chance I was staying up to watch that shit show, same goes for any match Hennessey is in.

Meglino is a great guy, but....
