streaming the world 14.1 tournament

I was just thinking the same thing earlier, I'll see what I can find out the next time i'm at stienway.

If it's going to be ppv and anyone other than Accu-Stats or another well known streamer doing it I dont think I'll risk it.
It was not too bad last year out of the Carom Cafe, was it?
I will definitely watch it if it is available.

Yeah, I hear ya. Penny wise, pound foolish. They probably think they can't afford Pat, but if longevity of the event and profits over multiple years is considered, they may not be able to afford not to have him there.
Irrational or not I have a hard time ponying up ppv money for an untested product. I'm always afraid of not getting what I paid for or getting something not up to the quality I'm used to seeing. Now don't take this as badmouthing it before I see it because I'm not I'm just talking about my fears when buying a non-TAR non-Accu-Stats ppv.

I will be in NY during this and the Ten Ball event a few days afterwards.
I am hoping to be able to watch some of the best players shoot some good old fashioned 14.1. When I contacted Steinway they told me there wasnt a coverfee/entrance fee to watch the matches, which will afford me the extra beer or two and a nice tip for the wait staff.
I do hope they decide to stream it as well.

Hmm, no cover fee, apparently no streaming, where is the promotion in Dragon Promotion?
I really doubt that is true. I heard there will be streaming. Every year there has been a fee for spectators. I cannot believe they are not charging it this year. Dragon is probably just late getting the details to Steinway and Steinway is ad libbing.

-Tickets can be bought at the door $18 per session at Steinway Billiards. 2 sessions daily starting on Aug 19th 10am. Wed only 1 session before the 14.1 Hall of Fame starts at 7pm . Final day on Aug 24th is $35 flat all day session."
So it looks like you better save a little of your beer money for cover.
14.1 is your passion ... trust that passion (-muscle memory) and you'll be in stroke.
