Scott Lee said:Yes they did. Richie Idrovo's team won the national team tournament, but was disqualified after winning, because they sandbagged. Their championship was taken back, along with the prizes, and the team members were banned from APA for two years. Not sure of the exact year, but I know it's been sometime in the last 10 yrs. This was in an article in Billiards Digest some years back, when it happened.

You are correct sir. They lost to a team from Southern Illinois or Louisiana in the finals if I remember correctly. Came down to the 8 ball in the last game of the hill match. And yes it was right around that time that his LO banned him. He eventually was reinstated under a different LO as you well know.magnetardo said:This is incorrect, Ritchie never got banned in the NTC. He did get baned by a certain LO but that was it. That was a few years after his team took 2nd place at the NTC (1998)

Who are the better players around "the ham" now. Last time I checked
David was an activ member. That surprised me. I ran into him at APA nationals. I remember when he couldnt play at all.
hemicudas said:IBA, Since Scotty W. lives there now, how do he and Tim Orange play?
iba7467 said:Scotty actually plays on my APA team. He never practices and pretty much only plays during league or in a local tournament. I do not knock someone's game or provide free lines (no offense meant here Hemi) especially on the internet. Also, TO has not been playing much lately. Even stating what a fair game would be now would not give you a good gauge of either of them.
I will say, it is a pleasure to have Scotty on our team. He continues to play well and is at the Derby right now.
