I think this is a good CB stun control drill for both direction and speed.
Put the CB on the center of the table (center spot). Place an OB touching the CB and lined up toward either side pocket.
Roll the CB away, leaving an angled cutshot on the OB. Pocket the OB in the side and stun the CB, stopping on the footspot.
Try the same shot, passing the footspot and stopping the CB within one ball from the center diamond on the short rail.
With the same setup, pass the footspot, come off the short rail, and try stopping the CB within 2 balls from the footspot.
Starting with the CB on the centerspot, the tangent line runs directly through the footspot and to the short rail diamond.
