sub rail angle

why would we tell you that?

ok I understand all the tables being different and I get the understanding that Diamond is the top choice now in tables what is the thickness of their subrails and angle of the cushions? I cant seen to find any specs on them.

I'll say one word.... and it isn't "Plastics"

Proprietary

you could also say... not too many people are interested. They just want the table to play well and don't care about the details.

and Diamond might say... figure it out for yourself, we're keeping that competive advantage.

with all this talk about Diamond being better I dont see the problem In being told why they are better. Im sure Brunswick has bought a table and tore it apart to compare and see what they are competing with.

Diamond probably thought that but then their tables played like crap.

Enter Glen stage right to "figure it out for yourself" for them. :lmao:

I would not be surprised if they didn't. Billiards is such a small part of their business, they don't seem to care any more. Why do you think Diamond is in all the Tournaments anymore? Brunswick has other business avenues to continue down. This is what makes Diamond a great company and great table because they are ONLY billiards related and their entire business depends on the quality of their tables.

When was the last time you saw Brunswick give the option of a one piece 9ft for sale on any of their pool tables? When was the last time Brunswick offered the Artemis K55 cushions on their rails instead of the Brunswick Superspeed cushions? When did Brunswick first start offering the Dymondwood top rail finish, in order to insure a long and lasting life to the finish of their rails?

Brunswick don't care about what Diamond's doing with their pool tables, because Brunswick sells their pool tables in a different market place than Diamond does, with the exception of the GC5 being a commercial use pool table. I also support Diamond with all the knowledge I have gained over the last 28 years of working on pool tables.....who supports Brunswick that way?

I understand that Diamond is the way to go if buying a table and I wish you lived in my area or country for that matter Glen, but I have a Canadian made older table and I will be replacing the cushions on the angle they are cut now I was just wondering what angle Diamond uses so I know how my table stacks up against the best table out there.

Petro, don`t worry,Palason makes a great table,as does Canada Billiards, they take advantage of Canada`s cheap wood resources, but from the factory they install the cheapest rubber,Master Speed,to compete at the lowest price.Order the rails, order your cloth, contract a good mechanic with all the tools and get the job done.Don`t be shy, tell the mech. exactly what you want done and exactly how you want him to do it.Good luck..

Thanks T dawg I like palason tables and have played on them for years because thats what the local pool hall has. I am trying to find out as much about all this stuff I can because I like to understand all I can about my projects and I like to understand about the best products avaliable which are diamond tables
