Sugartree or Bluegrass

Sugartree vs Harris

Whats up Speedy I will give you my two cents. I have hit a few balls with the 5-6 bluegrass cues that I sold last year and have owned 1 Sugartree but have hit with a couple. Nothing but great things to say about either of them. Each and every Bluegrass cue that I have owned is top notch craftsmanship, very tight fit (when screwing together) and have a consistent hit. Every single bluegrass that I have played with all hit very similar. The feel is great and has a solid hit. The Sugartrees that I have hit with both hit GREAT. The craftsmanship is great as well as the wood selection for the shafts (and for everything in the cue as for that goes). They screwed together tightly also and had a more natural feel in my hands and a much more solid hit. The Sugartrees just hit stiff and very consistent from shot to shot. Similar to the Bluegrass in consistency but with a Crisper cleaner hit. Both are great cues and Eric is building consistent cues because everyone is more than happy with the hit and that speaks for itself. They are both building consistent cues from one to the other which is what each and every cue maker probably spends forever trying to do from one to the other. Both have great feel and firm hit with the Sugartree being a stiffer, cleaner hit imo. Trav Dorn.

Both are great cues with a stiff hit, but imho the Sugartree wins out on the hit based on my experience with them. They have a better taper and the ones I've hit with had a little more "feel".

Speedy, you have a Sugar Tree.
How else can it get better?
the one that i have now is only his shaft on a dz butt. Like the taper on the shaft though. Appreciate the input.

Yo Doc,

First of all, If you didn't like the post why chime in with your 2 cents
worth. With all the other B.S. people put on this forum at least this is
a good question and Speedy's just looking for info from the people here
who's opinion is appreciated. Give me a Break and Quit Crying !!!!!

Sorry to offend all those sugartree nutz:eek:

I have owned and played with both cues and for my personal stroke i would say they are both beautiful cues and both are excellent to order and deal with but the Bluegrass taper is a little off for me and my Sugartree plays better for me as his taper is better for me........
I had a hard time saying it but i hope you get my point...........

Bluegrass and Sugartree cues are both fantastic cues and hit similar but different at the same time .............:)

thank you

Thank you for the input, I understand what you are saying and will probably end up going with both eventually.

speedy...

I'm glad you like the DZ-Sugartree combo. I own a purpleheart, birdseye plain jane Sugartree as well, and just so you know that a full Sugartree cue, plays alot better than the hybrid. I haven't tried a Bluegrass yet, but I would like to in the not too distant future. However, for me I don't really have a desire to buy any more cues (unless I just gotta have it), because the Sugartree has become my main player, and will be for a long time.

Cue Choice

If you do plan to buy both please buy a Judd first...............LOL

You know what I mean

Thanks
