I got this cue in a trade and really don't need it. It is an outstanding player and has a hit that is just awesome. The butt weighs 15.82 OZ and the 13.25 mm shaft weighs in at 3.90 giving a total weight of 19.72 OZ. Butt cap and collars are brown phenolic and the piece of maple is gorgeous on this one. There is a dark spot in the grain on the shaft that I put in the third picture, it obviously doesn't effect the cue at all. The shaft does have a slight taper roll, but it isn't bad at all. sold pending payment

Thanks,

Doug

I thought it was a fair price and someone else will get to try out a great playing cue. Thanks Dennis!

$800 was more than fair and I think it shows considering it sold in like 10 minutes..

Can you describe a little more the "slight taper roll" in the shaft. I've never come across that phrase before.

Slight taper rolls means in some cues like the SW or bluegrass, cues/shafts with parabolic tapers generally will have a slight roll but mostly the tip stays on the table.

To me it means that the tip of the cue essentially rolls straight, but if you look between the shaft and the table where the taper in the shaft is you will see a minor up and down motion of the shaft when rolled. In my opinion a shaft with a slight taper roll can never leave the table at the tip. If the tip leaves the table, the shaft is warped. Hope this helps you since I've already posted the cue as sold to you.

Thanks,

Doug
