Several months ago I was shooting pool and a buddy handed me his Sugar tree cue to hit a few with, very cruel … It took me a while to start ½ way liking my cue again. Now it seemed like my cue made a thud sound when I hit with it… it just wasn’t working for me. Fast forward to this past weekend, I got my new “True” Sneaky pete cue by Sugartree cues. I say true sneaky because it doesn’t have any adornments (collars at the joint or inlays) Eric even hid his signature on a dark spot of the coco. I asked for a cue that looked like it came off the pool hall rack, well except for the quality of the wood. If it wasn’t for the outstanding birdseye maple and figured cocobolo giving it away you’d never know it wasn’t a house cue… well that and the “ping” of the solid hit, and the high gloss finish. LOL Eric put this together with an outstanding Rounceville blank. The points are even and sharp at both ends there isn’t a flaw to be found. Here are some pics. BTW I have on good authority there will be a Sneaky Pete Sugartree series coming out. I just have #1
Eric asked if I'd like birdseye maple on the shafts... oh YES!
