It is not as rare an occurrence as most would have us believe. I watch the Wanted/ForSale every single day, and they do come up every couple to a few weeks or so.

Perhaps the reason you are not seeing most of them is because most of the asking prices for an ST sneaky are well within reason, and so they are snapped up in minutes.

I do not own an ST...would like to try one...but at these 'flippin' asking prices, I never will. And surprisingly, I am okay with that. I have a huge amount of respect for Eric and the caliber of cue he is crafting...I would rather line his pockets.

not real familiar with his work but i hear good things. what do his fancy cues start at $2000.

Wow! I just sold a Sugartree sneaky about a month ago and I had to sweat it out for about to weeks to get $500 or so for it.

Anyway, good luck with the sale.

Almost all of Eric's conversions only have one shaft. Eric's shafts and shaftwood are considered by many to be the very best avalible. I paid $800 for 2 shafts, including shipping, from another well respected maker. For under 1500, I think you will be hard pressed to find a cue that plays as good and holds its value as well as this one.

Basically GM is right

If you find a cue that plays for you, the price doesnt matter...the problem is that some equate price to playability. Though the cue is very expensive in my opinion, but with the rarity of STs, and their quality is what secures their place in the market. And this cue just has a great look to it, liked it when I first saw it.

Is this the one you're talking about?

I do see some differences between them. Thanks for the bump

Oh. There are definitely some differences here.

1) Your finish is nicer.
2) The G-10 pin.
3) Mine was owned by a real stallion that ladies drool over.
4) Ringwork.

I was just hoping to get $650 out of mine. But its a screwey market right now. Anyway, mine's gone. And sadly, this stallion is longer avialable either! (Sorry ladies!)

But again, good luck with your sale.

I just cant get over the prices on his cues and how much they have jumped in what seems to be almost over night. What if he, Laurie, and Tim all built a similar cue out of the same stock, why are his so much more money? Is it like the Polo or Gucci thing going on here? They are not bad looking cues, but I think Searing or McDaniels makes a better looking cue and although I cant compare because I have never hit with a ST, I cant imagine it being better than a TS or Searing. Anyways, good luck with the sale, I hope it goes easily for you.

There is a major difference between ST cues and say TS or Searing. Design is obviously one but the construction and materials is the one that matters. In my opinion ST will play better for your advanced player who is a AA or Master or even PRO. The hit is better and the construction is better based on MATERIALS used and shaft standards held by TS (Eric Crisp ) It the same reason Kerry Zieler feels the good looks come second! Kerry has told me himself he will take shafts and bounce them off the pavement and if they do not have the right tone and bounce there shredded.. Period he says. This is Eric's ideology when building a cue along with certain materials being used and taper concepts. I'm sorry, Tim might build a beautiful cue and Searing and many other top builders. But they will never have the unique hit and feel that TS, Harris, SW, Zieler, Hill, Kersenbrock, Bender , ETC... will have. TS, Zieler, SW, and Harris are going to be your most consistant. Not saying there always perfect but there the closest. IMO these are the top builders period, for the better player. The better player can tell you the difference. No disrespect to the rest but these guys have proven this thesis to be right over time. JUST my 2 Cents!!!!!
