Sugartree

I'm confused.
Apparently this statement was less than accurate?
According to a later post (yours), you bought and received this as a REFURBISHED cue in June 2008?

Wow. This is why I deal with Joe, Marcus, Troy, Steve & Ken. These guys would NEVER make a misleading statement just to sell a hunk of wood.

Integrity is free, folks!

(Plus the large reputable dealers who have a business off of AZ, of course)

Common sense deserves some rep....

looks like everybody's wound a little tight on this one....

I didn't really see it as that big a deal (especially if it's perfect)but technically, it's not new. Maybe you should have described it as "Mint" and "purchased in 2008". other than that there's not much to say. You would(will) probably still get your asking price. Either way its totally *****in and I wish I could buy it. Unfortunately I'm trying to convert and tool up an old lathe, and it's starting to become expensive!

I edited my post to make things as clear as I possibly can.
I want to appoligize to the AZ community.
Thanks Jeff

The Word NEW

Jeff,

I asked you if the cue was NEW...I tried to GIVE YOU A WAY OUT...You replied the cue was NEW...I don't know where your from, but in my world when a cue gets a butt cap replace, joint collar replaced, and a refinish.....thats NOT A NEW CUE....btw bnall told me awhile back he had the cue sold to you.....I really don't care who delivered it....;)

Dale

There are two meanings to the word NEW in greek, one is kainos the other is neos, Kainos means NEW in Quality, Neos means NEW in Time, may be this guy meant Kainos NEW? :deadhorse:

I know this is a stupid post I just thought I would post out of boredom like most on here, I deserve at least 1 boredom post!

No harm intended, I agree 100% with you it looks as though it was worded deceitfully, intentionally or not I do not know but it was worded like a lawyer might word something, in order to have an out if needed! Good vigilence, you are a man who reads what is written compared to alot on here who read into or add or subtract from was is written, good job. I think your point has been made.:outtahere:

old cue new cue, LOOKS GREAT TO ME

Wow, what a great looking ebony player. Quick question did Eric make the butt or is this one of the cues that he puts together from a purchased blank. Just wondering because the maple for the forearm looks awsome...
Dan

Dan
I have no idea if Eric made the butt or it was a purchased blank.
I do know this cue is better looking in person than the pics.
I`m surprized I have not even got 1 low ball bid yet.
But the nights still young. Sorry I could not answer your question Dan.
Thanks Jeff

There is alittle swirl on the joint collar in the black phenolic that I can not
get to show up in any pics. Like I said you have to look to find it.
Thanks for pointing out about Erics cues & prices.

I'd buy it a heartbeat if I had the money. Those sugartree sneaky's make outstanding players cues. Wouldn't worry if the cue was new in June or not, you weren't selling it as a new cue to begin with. Don't think I ever read where you said it was unplayed, so it doesn't really make a bit of difference one way or another.

If you were advertising it as unplayed, brand new cue and it wasn't then I'd agree. Never saw anywhere where you said it was either.

This is the deal of the year,,At that price you can't go wrong,,Unless your broke like me,:( Then it sucks,,But this is a beutiful cue at a great price .

I believe I was the original owner of this cue. I bought it from New2youQs in 2006 (I think) and had the butt grown off to make the cue a hoppe style cue because we took a little weight out of the bottom of the cue to hel move the balance point up a little and make the overall weight lighter. I cannot speak to the joint replacement the cue was in excellent condition when I sold it other than the butt being shortened. I sold the cue on E-bay and from there the history is documented in this thread. Good luck to whomever purchases the cue I am sure it plays very nice.

Also, I my opinion with the work that Eric has done to the cue it might as well be new.
