I want to change the color of my walls in my pool room, they are
currently white with an oak trim at top and bottom, i dont like the
white walls at all they are hard to keep clean and its just to bright
in my opinion for a pool room, does anyone have a color in mind that might look good with the oak trim and darken the room a little bit more and give
it that pool room kind of feel?

Definitely light gray with a silver hue.

I don't know who this Hugh guy is, but I'd go with the light gray.
Old timey photos around the walls would look good, to. Make sure Gleason is in one of them.

My basement walls are deep purple. The tourney blue simonis contrasts nicely, as do the blue rope lights wrapping the stair rails. It has a really fun ambiance down there.

Definitely light gray with a silver hue.

Jennie is right on the money. I was a painting contractor for over 30 years and worked with many designers and architects over that time. One project was to remodel and repaint a room for computers. The architect informed me that gray caused the least amount of stress to your eyes. When I questioned him about it he came in the next day with some studies to back up his claim.

I've been planning to remodel several rooms in my house, so I can offer some good ideas. Over & over I've heard the same advice..."don't fear the darker colors". Everyone falls in love with a rich, dark color...then chickens out & drops 2-3 shades lighter. I've done it & I won't make that mistake again.

1) If you want to darken your room just a little bit, try Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter. RP is a very versatile, VERY popular color that can be paired with white or dark trim/flooring. You'll need to restain or paint your trim. RP is popular due to is ability to fluctuate between beige & gray depending on light cast on it.

2) A darker version of RP is Benjamin Moore Brandon Beige. A rich color that is similarly versatile & popular. BB can vary from dark to light based on the light given to it. Stick with white trim here though.

3) If you want to sidestep beige/greige, take a look at Benjamin Moore Storm. A gray that pops & compliments white trim.

4) A darker gray that is trending right now is Benjamin Moore Kendall Charcoal. This would really compliment your blue felt & bright lighting over the table.

5) If you want to go for broke (in terms of darkness), Benjamin Moore Bittersweet Chocolate is INCREDIBLE. If your floors are already dark, tread lightly. Paint the ceiling & trim bright white to balance it back out. Adding some can lights will shed lumens on the paint to give a nice shading effect.

6) Another dark tan that is popular is Benjamin Moore Mesa Verde Tan. MVT is true to the browns, where RP & BB have subtle hints at gray & green.

You could couple Mesa Verde Tan & Bleeker Beige together (on adjoining walls for example) to mix it up. They compliment each other well.

You'll note that I linked from Houzz.com several times. Go on there & snoop around if you don't like any of the above. It's an incredible resource.

I think Martha Stewart is a member here. Maybe she will chime in.
Personaly I don't care if a room paints the walls or not. If they keep good cloth on the tables and clean them and the balls once in a while and have good lighting I'm good.
