suggestions on learning the 'diamond system'

i kinda agree with you on the different tables cloth etc..... i do practise <well when i was playing alot anyhow> and can kick well 2-3 rails at just about anything.... BUT the guy i have always played with has his 'little system' and can bang anything by counting/adding/subtracting diamonds.... so i figure with my kicking skills combined with his 'mathmatical' skills i can really step up the game...
he's shown me a little, but now he is unable to play at all, so my search moves on.....

I agree with you. There are differences from table to table, but if you know some systems and are in a difficult situation, you at least have some idea that might work rather than stand there with a "deer in the headlights" look scratching your ass.

There are many diamond systems. I have studied a practiced a lot of them , purely because they interest me. The ones I use the most are:

One rail - Tom Rossman(Dr. Cue) and "Diamond Dave" Thayer (Hot Shot Series), Banking With the Beard, Grady Matthews(spin adjustments)

Two Rails - Tom Rossman (Plus Two System), Grady Matthews, Banking With the Beard

Three Rails - Jimmy Reid (Spot on wall), Tom Rossman (Plus Two Mod), Banking With the Beard

These are just my preferences and certainly not the only options. Have fun!

what is pool iq? website? if so what's the site's address - i tried pooliq .com and got nothing. any help would be appreciated. always trying to learn. thanks
pooliq.net

Little Joe does a good job with this. Get both DVD's Cue Ball Control is very good also.

Bob Byrnes Standard Book of P&B is good too. Pay attention to the adjustments as the CB Position (when kicking) OB Position (on carom shots).
