Super Billiards Expo 2007... Who's going?

Bad news no-sho. Your friends will have to settle for a very domestic beer called Yuengling. It is the only beer I've ever seen in there. Even Keith McCready couldn't get his much loved Budweiser. They probably have other beers in the bar in the hotel, but inside the convention center you're stuck. Maybe your friends should go into training drinking cheap American beer. :)
I'll watch for a bunch of people cursing at the beer with Austrian accents (I assume it is something like a German accent) and introduce myself. Hope to meet you.:)
I think Cornerman is a bit of a beer afficiano (sp?) maybe he can tell you what to look for outside the center.
I've been there a few times, and while you are correct about Yuengling being available, Bud and Corona (I believe) were there, as I had many Buds one night... They do have an assortment, albeit a small one...

I will be there the whole show. Hope to see a few of you there. No-Sho if Creeds is still there be sure to check it out. Its a great place to eat.

Hey no- sho there is a nice beer distributor near by the convention center called Kunda's. Is the beer you are looking for a speciallty? I have distributor here in Harrisburg that has a awesome selection he may have what you are looking for or could order it. Also Kunda could probably order it for you for the show time.
Kunda's Beverage

I'll be sure to check it out.

I will be there. Reservations have been in place for months!

I didn't make the AZ event last year, though. Maybe this time.

I have typically handed out wrist bands that you can use to enter the room. I have had bouncer their at the door to verify entrance. I am typically walking the floor and enjoying the show.

You should stop by the booth when you get a chance. I will be in #20 lower level. Samm diep will be there with me again this year. See you at the show Chris.

You sound like James Findley, the guy Eddie played in 3-c in "The Hustler", "He invites everybody from top to bottom". lol. I would have been a good addition to your show 17 or 18 years ago, but wisely choose to hang up my drinking elbow. :)

I'll take your word for it, I don't drink. I just remember JAM complaining about Keith not being able to get his Buds inside the convention center. Maybe they changed things sometime along the way.

pet peeve of super billiards expo

Just a little venting. The pro players are there for a tounament and they are able to sneak in the back of the hall. Then we all miss out on seeing them unless they are at a sponsors' table. We are all pool players of different skill levels and as long as we treat the pro's civil and don't interfere too much they could show themselves more often. Many just leave after they lose or just need a smoke break. I have had many pro's at my party but many still don't show themselves to the public at all and many of us would like to see them without watching a website, television, or paying to watch them play.

I am about to mail my entry fee right now. I will be playing in the Ameatur Open.

I am hitting them bad as of now, so I'm hoping that I'll straighten myself back out in the next two months!

You can buy the tickets when you get there. As to which days to go, i'm not sure.

I will be there on Friday, and leaving on Sunday.

Didn't read the whole thread, so I apologize if this is a repetitive entry...
I am from PA as well. You can buy entry tickets at the door, but a hotel room will be tricky if you don't have reservations in advance. Of course if you live close enough then it doesn't matter.

hey no-sho
I checked my local distributor here in harrisburg. he did not have either one. but he said that if you ship it here (keeping in mine the freezing and how the shipper handles it, and in pennsylvania list the liquid contents as anything non-alcoholic water soda etc. but not beer or boos.

The Radisson at the convention center is already booked, I just made reservations at the Hampton Inn. I'll be there from Wednesday - Sunday.

How many pool rooms are around that area??? I would imagine there will be quite a few folks that will be looking for the after-Expo games......much like me.

I would think there would be at least a couple rooms relatively close to the Expo.......so what's the best one to go to??

Any 8-ball players out there that wanna get a game together???

I've never been to the expo before, but a buddy of mine always goes... I would like to find some cheap action, but I am figuring there are two things working against me: 1) My cheap action is too cheap 2) This place will probably be PACKED!

...to the rafters, I bet. But I'm still gonna venture out and try to pick up some games. I figure there are BOUND to be some AZB'ers out there who'd wanna hook up at one of the rooms and get a couple tables. Maybe some round robin action......

Nothings to cheap for me. After hours at the expo you can rent a table all night for like 10 bucks. The place was packed last year but it's normally pretty easy to find an empty table to practice on.

Wow!!!!! Didn't know you could rent a table at the expo.........and for CHEAP!! That sounds like a good route to go.......and that leaves you some more action money, seymore!!

Ok, cool. That's the one thing that really bugs me about pool. I love to play and I love to play cheap sets even more, but then it's always the same story...play this one for $100? My response is simple...no thanks. What is with these egos?! I like $10 sets, it covers table time, it doesn't break the bank, and most of all: it doesn't cause trouble.

So what's the layout of the convention center?
