Super Billiards Expo 2007... Who's going?

The wait for the $10 tables is generally only a few people deep when the room is full. I generally don't make it down to play untill 1 - 2am and I have not had to wait more than 10 min. to get a table. As far as other rooms in the area I don't know but I did hear alot of talk about planet 9 ball. I don't know if that is anywhere near there or not though. Chris.

What room are you talking about? The Expo has about 150 7' Diamond tables set up for the Amatuer tournies and I never saw a line to shoot on one for $10 for the whole night.

I'll be there

Barbara, for the last two years, late at night, after the amateur tournaments are closed down for the night, they have been renting the tables on the lower level of the convention center.
I can't play worth a damn, that late at night, so I can't give you any more details.

Barbara when you walk down the stairs to the lower level look to the far right corner of the room and the guys will have a card table set up in the corner. That is where you get in to play. I don't know what time the open up but I would guess right after they pull the room deviders closed after tournament play is done for the night. Chris.

LOL! I have to get into my AOL FTP space and fix it. What happened is I had a .jpeg file entitled "Keith and Frankie" originally, which was actually Frankie Alvarez. When I downloaded the pictures of you and Keith, all of Alvarez's pictures were replaced by the famous Frankie White!

Here's a better picture of the Dynamic Duo! :D

And here's another great shot of one of the gang with Frankie, none other than a smiling Jerry Slivka!

And I can't leave out another East Coast regular on the tournament trail, one of New York's finest, the Gypsy, who is on the left, with Frankie White and Keith on the right! :p

Keith has played Gypsy twice in tournaments, one of them being at the Pro Am event at the SBE. Gypsy is a dangerous man when he's got his break going. When the two of them are in the pit, it is non-stop entertainment. :D

While I'm on the East Coast, I might as well throw this pic in. Keith on the left, posing with the main man responsible for the SBE, the world-class champion player himself, Allen Hopkins, and on the right, Mike a/k/a "Big Daddy." :D

Oh jeez, this is going to really disappoint me. Then again, on the plus side, I won't be missing much on a little table... I don't know what to expect, I play on 9-footers 90% of the time and I play on 8-footers from time to time... I *NEVER* play on 7-footers, so I don't know what to expect... I typically shoot stronger on an 8 than a 9...but a 7?

They shouldn't even make 7-foot tables.

These 7 ft. Diamond Smart Tables are the bomb! They play like an 8 ft. table and balls CAN be missed on them. They're much more difficult than the normal coin-operated 7 ft. tables in bars and also play much tougher than say a "home" 8 ft. Olhausen. Plus they use the Super Pro Aramith Balls. The conditions are quite quite good! If I had my choice I too would always rather play on 9 ft. tables......but if you give these tables a chance.....I think you will like them.

BTW....I see you live in Rochester, PA.......I live in Beaver:eek: Maybe we can get together and play some? Just send me a private message and I'll respond........

I'll be there. I missed it the past couple of years but look forward to getting out to meet the peeps.

My entry fee is already in the mail, so I *WILL* give them a chance!
