Ira will have a booth with a carom table at Super Billiard Expo.Ira is going to have a booth there?
I think the first 3-C event at the SBE was in 2011. It was organized and promoted by Paul Frankel, AKA Professor Q-Ball:
Professor-Q-Ball Promotions is proud to announce Champion of Champions [SBE 2011]
The last year appears to have been 2018 from this post. I don't know if the run was continuous....
I'm definitely going, as I do every year, but just for one day...I never play, because they don't have 14.1, I'm not a big fan of 9 ball, and the biggest turnoff for me, is everything is played on a damn bar box...It’s only a few weeks out and while it’s not what it used to be at the old spot (we didn’t know how good we had it) but I’ll be going to buy and watch. I’m not playing. I can’t go for the whole weekend 1) we are going to Vegas to play in masters for the apa at the end of the month (the wife is thrilled about thatnot.) and honestly the tournament being single elimination while also be loaded with semi pro players doesn’t interest me much so I’ll save my money lol if your going for the whole weekend you might as well play since it includes your daily entrance but to me $125 single elimination tournament doesn’t interest me if I‘m hanging around all weekend. I can play in the seniors now so I did consider playing in that before I qualified for Vegas. I’m just looking forward to seeing all the people. Looks like now that it’s a matchroom event the turnout is going to be better for that. It was getting pretty bad for a few years now. With matchroom payouts getting better a tournament like the expo that you have to break into the top 16 just to pay for your hotel wasn’t worth it to the big names like it used to be. same problem turning stone seems to be having. The pro’s just don’t need it anymore.
Not much on my list to buy this year. I picked up a predator p3 real cheap that needs a rewrap And an extra shaft that needs a new tip. I had to put a new tip on my bk rush. I put it on my fine but after doing it realized I have nothing to trim down phenolic tips. I have nothing that can cut through that sucker lol so it works great but looks like shitmy wife is buying me the matching diamond table cover since she never knows what to buy me for my birthday lol I’m sure I’ll buy some stupid stuff like a new predator hat and maybe a matchroom shirt. It’s pool heaven and I get excited every year. when I used to go for the whole weekend it was the only time I would tell my wife to stay home and not come until the weekend. All I want to do is watch pool and eat shitty food and I don’t want to feel like I have to keep you entertained because your going to be bored like most normal people would be
Soooooo who’s going? who’s playing? any big purchases planned? anyone buying a diamond when they are there. they aren’t cheap like they used to be that’s for sure…
No offense man they don‘t have room for 300 plus 9 foot tablesI'm definitely going, as I do every year, but just for one day...I never play, because they don't have 14.1, I'm not a big fan of 9 ball, and the biggest turnoff for me, is everything is played on a damn bar box......even the Pro-Am event is played on bar boxes...so, I just go to check out the venders for anything interesting then go in the Pro Arena and watch...at least THEY get to play on 9 footers...

Looking to move a Scruggs and a Heath Outlaw, in the market for something with butterfly splices.
Russ Espiritu's grand son's brand of cues. Cool veneers with very nice inlay work on the forearm and sleeve. Got it in a trade, very unique color combinations. What is a Heath Outlaw ?
Looks like Stephen Hendry lolI'll be there playing sets for $....and I'm a donkey who hasn't played in over a year. I'm easy to find in the practice room.
I'm racking as usual....easy $.
Years ago, when SBE was at the Convention Center, the Pro-Am *was* played on 9' tables...No offense man they don‘t have room for 300 plus 9 foot tablesyou would need to find some serious space for that. not to mention how much it would slow down the games so the time it would add. would be nice to see the pro am on 9 footers though.
That had to be a longggg time ago as I don’t remember and I’ve been going for the better part of 20 years. But I wish it still was. It should beYears ago, when SBE was at the Convention Center, the Pro-Am *was* played on 9' tables...

Flame veneers. from the year 2000. Excellent shape. What's the Scruggs look like?
Agreed...at least the Pro-Am should still be on 9' tables...I truly miss the Valley Forge Hotel/Convention Center...it sucks that they turned it in to a casino...SBE was SO much better when it was there...you could book your rooms there...they had 3 restaurants, all inside one giant facility...those were the days...That had to be a longggg time ago as I don’t remember and I’ve been going for the better part of 20 years. Man we didn’t know how good we had it. I loved the pro room . Dark and quiet . It was one of the few times we got to see the game being treated with the respect we feel it deservesAgreed...at least the Pro-Am should still be on 9' tables...I truly miss the Valley Forge Hotel/Convention Center...it sucks that they turned it in to a casino...SBE was SO much better when it was there...you could book your rooms there...they had 3 restaurants, all inside one giant facility...those were the days...
I think someone who would know told me (a while ago) that Mr. frankel would be doing some 3c things. To my knowledge there isn't a 3 cushion event. there are mini pool tourneys but not mini 3C tourneys.
ABSOLUTELY!!!...couldn't agree with you more, my friend...hey...at least we got to experience it...I'm sure there are many that have no clue to what we are referring....Man we didn’t know how good we had it.
