Super Billiards Expo, Did you go?

I too was surprised to learn there were not as many pro-caliber players on-site as there used to be, but for anyone who has never been, it is always a treat to run into old pool friends as well as meeting new ones. I was told by a "regular" action player that the action tables were not filled with back-to-back challenges the way they used to be. Here's a few photos from SBE when it was at Valley Forge. I remember my first time there. I was like a kid in a candy store. One thing for sure, Allen Hopkins has THE BEST trophies. Keith came in second place to Shannon at the ProAm, and I cared more about the trophy than the cheese. Shannon won in a hill-hill nail-biter and took home the trophy and the cheese. It only hurt a little bit for Team McCready. Meanwhile, Keith won more money than the tournament payouts on the action table. Everybody was there. Standing room only. The betting before a game took longer than the game: "I'll take 50 on the breaker. I'll take 100 on the racker." It's the first and only time I've ever seen that kind of action.

And whenever Keith would miss the crowd would go “ it’s like a nightmare ain’t it Keith” lol. Loved those days.

Yes they were. Miss those old days for sure. Flipping quarters for $20 or $100 was fun to watch as well.
Me & the wife had a great time this year as we always do.
 
Was there Friday, Sat and Sun. Played in the Seniors on Saturday and lost but that was mostly expected. I had about 10 friends playing matches in all the various categories and had a great time each day supporting my friends. Never went to SBE at any other location but to see so many pool players in one giant room is pretty cool. The food sucks but the vendors are pretty good even if there are fewer then there used to be.
 
I went. I believe I may have missed 4 years total. The event has had ups and downs, and I’ve had some amazing memories. This year was another down year, but better than the last. About all I can say. I’ll keep coming back, but it’s gotten old.

Do you know the FB name he has it under, Pinegar and Hennessee are both not mentioning it.
 
Had a guy shoot over 6 while rolling shaft on the ball .... no. I just took ball in hand.

Then he marked 2 games at once to get 4 to 4, his break. Said he'd forgotten to mark one 2 games back. No idea. I quit the set, started over. Course then he gets up 4 to 1, I lose 7 to 6 for $500.

Pool hustling is a real grind.

Guy who beat me in the open wouldn't stop his sharking bullshit, even when the top tournament director told him to stop. World class pos.

Man who beat me in the seniors was a true gentleman. Won with a full diagonal table 3 ball combo on the nine after my dry break.

Both matches hill hill in set 3. Pool is a brutal game.

The gambling sets I lost all went to hill hill or 7 to 5.....even the one versus the Fargo 708 who "doesn't play pool".
