I will be there wed-sun with six of my friends. This is my third year in a row. Every year this is the one trip I look forward to most, no matter what vacation Im going on. I will be playing in the warm up and the open and who know I might walk out of there with a new cue! Hopefully all us Azers can meet up at some point.

I will be there from Friday early afternoon until I wake up on Sunday. I'm excited about the new venue....

Travel safe my friends.... I am off to no internet land

on mapquestthey have a very nice feature under travel services to locate the gas stations along your route so you can save some $$$ along your trip. Right now price in King Of Prussia is around 3.90 - 3.99 for regular per gallon.

also on gas buddy they have a nice map which show the prices based on color so it is easy to refer to. how the middle part of the country the furthest from the refineries have the cheapest gas, I can not answer.

SEE YOU ALL NEXT WEEK
JEEVES

:Pros vs Joes:

I'll be happy just to get a bye so I can say I made it to the second round! LOL

Yea I'm with you there,, the truth of the matter is,, you never know who your gonna match up with..
There's alot of so-called amateurs that could play Pro..
For instance, Souvanthong gave SVB a run for his $$$..
Clatterbuck gave Mika Immonen a run for his $$$
(www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpe1PS7KIZQ),, and the both Souvanthong and Clatterbuck have recently won the S.B.E. Open Am..
There needs to be better scouting to keep the Open Am, a amateur event, for amateurs, and not guys that are basically Pros.......

Clatterbuck played in the pro and pro am last year because he was told after winning the amateur he wasn't aloud to play in it any longer. Has that changed?

True. Oh...so true.

First year I went, I signed up to play in the tourney. Thought I could make it to the 2nd round...or MAYBE the third, if somebody got food poisoning.

In the first round, I drew a guy (who shall remain nameless) that swore he just "banged the balls around for fun," and "hadn't played for that long."

I think I shot 2 times, the whole series.

That night...he was playing $3k sets in the pit. A stranger walks up and tells me he is a house pro in VA.

For the record...I LET HIM WIN.

I'll be there too, Hopefully see more AZERS and more Szamboti cues........
Regards
Peter

I wasnt aware.....

I wasnt aware Clatterbuck was forced into Pro/Am,but its rightfully so, he's to strong for the Open Am..

Now as far as Souvanthong,,is he forced into the Pro/Am as well ???

Is that how it goes?!, you win the open am ,you're no longer eligible to participate in the open am,,or does it depend on how strong the winner is ???

I believe I seen Souvanthong name in the pro line up as confirmed. For whats its worth he is a very strong payer now. About a year and a half ago I would have considered him a good player. He has worked very hard on his game and obviously it has showed. I guess if you are a good player, and practice with the correct focus, and often, you can elevate your game a lot.
