I like the super pro tips at first and then it got really hard! I was wondering if I soaked the super pro layered tips in milk and dried them out like a milk dud then I would have a perfect tip! Anyone ever experiment with super milk duds as I like to call them?????

wouldn't that just make them harder than they already are? They are one of the hardest tips around that is still suitable for playing, can't imagine making them harder would be a good thing.

I thought the milk softens the tip and causes it to expand. The pressing of the tip makes it hard I thought??? But, what do I know???

I was thinking of soaking and shaping the tip only! No pressing! Just to soften it up some. The thing holds massive chalk with the standard super pro tip install.

In the future, I will experiment with different liquids.
I have found that 1% and cream milk will curdle and 2% won't.
I have yet to try chocolate milk or beer.

I've done le pro, triangle, elkmasters and what not, but those were all single layer tips. Not sure about a laminated tip. Is It possible that They may delaminate? Personally I really don't know, but that would be one concern of mine. They are cheap tips though, so I guess You could give It try & It would'nt cost too much skin. Of what I have tried I probably got the best results from triangles, but of coarse those were pressed, and aged some before using them to make sure they did not move after installation.

If you want them to be softer, you need to soak them in OIL.
Not really recommended.

I would not recommend soaking a layered tip. Although I haven't tried it, I would imagine it could cause delamination.
