After speaking with members here, we are gonna do something special with the remaining cue. We are looking for four people to split the cost of the cue between them so we can give the cue to a young, aspiring, pool player. The youngster will be selected from nominations by you, members of AZ. Give us a brief story about your candidate and why he or she is deserving. The youngster chosen will not only receive the cue, but lifetime service as long as they own the cue.

So, we need four Benefactors and as many candidates as possible. I think the four who step up should be the board that chooses the winning youngster as well. Thanks in advance to everyone who will make this possible!

I don't think I'm deserving of this cue but will still share my story and what I'm trying to do as a young pool player here in Texas:

My name is Jason Keller and I am the President of The Universoty of Texas Billiards Club. We play against other schools around Texas and have established the TIBA (Texas Intercollegiate Billiards Association) and have over a hundred members now from around Texas! Several of the schools are RecSports (University endorsed and sponsored) but as of right now UT is not on that list. I am trying to get us sponsored right now so that Billiards will get the recognition of being a true sport here at UT. I don't want to play at UT but for UT as it will help our club grow and prosper.

Like I said I don't think I am deserving of such a generous gift and I don't want to use my cause for self benefit... but if you guys have any ideas for me to get my club growing or are interested in contributing to our club's tournaments (not monetary but like discounts on cues we would pay for and use as prizes for winners in our tournaments) then I would greatly appreciate it.

I going to mention this giveaway to my club members and hopefully some of them will share their story as we have some great people who play here!

Good luck to all the contestants and thanks AzBilliards for everything...as well as to Thoroughbred and World Class for such a generous act!

Thanks Steve! That wraps up this first drive, a very successful plan to raise funds for AZ. I know the AZ cue is in Georgia and Jerry is in VA. I am sure the cue will be available as soon as the Open ends. Be watching for it and bid high! Thanks to everyone here on AZ, each and every one of you contribute to the success we all enjoy here. I have attached a pic of the Bacote cue with the Elephant Ear wrap so everyone can get a good look at what might just be in their future. Thanks HEH

Hey Tommy, the cue plays great, very solid! It's got a real nice hit & feel to it, an excellent little playing cue. And the worksmanship is top notch, which I'd expected coming out of Jackson. The tradition continues!

Nice woods, great work & a sweet hit all add up to a job well done! Ya'll keep making 'em, & I'll keep buying 'em. These cues are real bargins!

Thanks Walker and Ron for your review of the Cash cue. I am pleased you liked the cue. I want to remind everyone the AZ cue should be offered soon. Please keep in mind the high quality and playability described here and bid accordingly.

Tikkler, your cue went out today and you will have it tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for your continued support of AZ.

Smokey is back! I didn't know. Nice to see you posting again.

Tommy....the ebony cue (with tan elephant wrap) plays immensely well. I am very impressed with the hit and balance. Its just like any other McDaniel I have owned. Same woods, same joint, same construction. $600?? Bargain city. Glad I could help but I think the buyers of the cues are the winners here, lol!
