Yeah I definitely wasn't bragging about it. I'm just saying that a strong break isn't everything. If you hit them hard enough, you end up sending the middle of the rack down table, and the corners go flying 7 rails to "who knows where." Essentially you end up with a bunch of clusters at the bottom end of the table. Now why would I get something that's gonna help me break harder?? And with a phenolic tip, my cb goes flying across the room on a regular basis.
I just think break cues are overrated. I've seen people break softer than they shoot. And they still have to go buy a cue specifically for breaking...WTF FOR?!?!? The only reason I can see for a break cue is to protect your playing cue. Just in case you're like me and have a tendency to crack shafts and ferrules. But if that's the case...Why spend $300 on one?
