and lost a set of one hole and ten ball. He gambled with Busty and went one and one in ten ball and won a set of one pockets against him. good stuff

So Efren beat Shane at 10-ball recently? That's pretty impressive. Got any more details about the set or sets?

Not too many players with the heart or that are brave enough to play Reyes and Busty gambling back to back on the same day!! Shane has done this twice now, in Las Vegas and this one, impressive.

Did they play even?

No, they didn't play even; SVB is in his prime, and Efren has a bad back and I'm told worsening vision. And all the young guys are using years of videotape of all his shots. And he still wins..... yes, he is the man

shane told me he was going to go play Efren, say what you like but efren has home court and thats a big factor that cant be over looked. Yes Efren i believe at his best was a full speed above shane in all games. But right now I dont think efren could come to America and beat Shane on a diamond in shanes home court.

I admire shane for having the stones to go play those guys and give up home court, its a smart move on shanes part, he wants to improve. how better to get better than put your self in action on your own $$$ against better players??? thats the best way to become a stronger player, since shane cant find many games here in america where he isnt the favorite-he has to take his game on the road to improve. And going to the PI playing those gladiators on your own $$$ not only shows me heart it shows brains. he will become stronger than he already is. He knows he can improve-Shane isnt playing his best pool yet he is only 27, he still needs a few more years then he will be at his best. He is doing all the right things to get the best he can out of himself.

Shane VanBoening: " Lot of people dont know how efren is playing. Efren is spanking everyone in the philippines for the cash."

Just another perspective that has first hand knowledge.

Shane is on his way home today. In his last two match-ups here (last night), he beat Django and Carlo Biado (a great money player) for some serious bucks. Both matches were Ten Ball, Races to 21, neither one was very close either.

Out of curiosity, Jay, what equipment were they playing on?

TIA.

Playing those guys on their home turf is only going to make SVB a better player. Can't wait to see how he evolves.
