So when they cast their ballots they only vote for them as a testament of their belief in the merits of their pet player even if doing so ends up a bit of a symbolic gesture for them. I also think when you have 50 people voting, even 50 curated experts, the bell curve still wants to assert itself and you’re likely to get one or two people thinking outside the status quo.
