I have been reading about DO being guilty for not speaking out. What about SVB? He recieved $10k which he eventually returned as appearance fee. Is he also guilty for not speaking out? discuss.

The criticism of Dennis was originally because of non-disclosure on the the Ko match prize fund amount, not the Shane match.
Pool had always been dirt-bags, cutthroats, dumpers, stiff artists, hustlers and convicts. All of it, from movies to tournaments and heads-up action has been honestly portrayed in unfavorable light. As time goes by, nothing changes from the promoters on down to the fans.
There are a few of the pros that maintain a clean image, but you can count them on the fingers of one hand and not need all your fingers.
I am beyond caring about the SVB\DO match now.
Me too. Shane was so dominant in their last match up (race to 100) I have zero desire to see it again.
Dennis was beaten so badly they should have just cancelled the last day. Why anyone thinks this match should happen again at all is beyond me.
Agreed. I would be happy watching Alex come from behind again.
Alex\Shane race to 50 one pocket...I'd buy that
You would be as old as the person in your avatar by the time it got done though......
Well, I found you twice in one day.
This is true for absolutely everything in life. It doesn't matter if it's business, family, ect... It's all the same dirt-bags, cut-throats, dumpers, stiff artists, hustlers and convicts. I'm annoyed that this bull shit is mostly being directed at pool players. It's like every time I walk into my local room I'm probably going to be surrounded by thieves and murderers.
I'd say 95% of the people that I've met through the years were really good people who respected each other at the very worst. The problem with the state of pool is not pool's image... people who do not watch pool are probably just as excited to watch a curling match. You can only watch Trick Shot magic so many times on ESPN before every year becomes a re-run.
As far as the players of past and present are concerned, you would be hard pressed to get some of these good guys and gals to fit on your fingers and toes.
Anyone here a football fan? When was the last time someone in the NFL was accused of committing a crime? Drugs, domestic violence, child abuse, gambling, murder? That's dirty on a national platform.
