SVB is going to have his hands full with Justin Bergman

SVB has a small edge but he can't slip up much. Bergmans safety game is no where in Shane's league. SVB's break could be off alittle bit and he will still win. Bergman gonna have to bring the A+ game and SVB slip up.

Bergman has only lost 2 games in his first two matches, either he's breaking well and really controlling the table, or his opponents were missing a lot. I doubt SVB will miss a lot, should be a pretty good match.

Not to mention after that one he just put on Shaw, he's got a lot of confidence. I'm sure Shane will give him all he can stand. This will be a good one for sure!!

I'm going to watch Justin/Shane show tonight also. I just have to have labs drawn at 7AM, then home for a little 2 hour nap LOL. I hope both players are on their game. What I really want to see is them go to 80 for at least 10k. Johnnyt

Should be a great match. Justin is definitely good enough to win, so we'll see what happens. I'm just glad that Accu-Stats is streaming it!

I think Bergman's safety game is just as good as Shane's…..He probably kicks pretty close to Shane also.. Obviously the biggest difference here is the break.

I would agree if it were 10 ball, but in 9 ball they are very close. Johnnyt

I've watched them both play a lot and I think the biggest difference in their respective 9 ball breaks is the fact that while they both make balls, Shane is so surgical in terms of his cue ball control and having a first shot on the 1. He reads the rack much better than Justin and gets easier layouts on balance because of this.

In 10 ball your very right, its not even close. if you watched Justin play Shaw, he made balls on the break pretty consistently, but almost never had the same cue ball/one ball placement after the break. If you compare that to Shane playing Nikos (in Greece), he controlled the cue/one extremely well after the break and had follow the dots layouts most of the day (that was probably the best I have ever seen someone play in a session).

I think Justin plays better safeties, and Shane has the breaks.

If Justin can string a few together, and get a shot after the break then Shane will lose. I'm predicting 11/9 Justin.

Whats the line on the match???

Bergman is no SVB thats forsure just because he cleaned up his act a little and put together a few wins does not put him on Shane's level.

Shane is a clear favorite to win, its just a matter of by how much...?

I good match or a good month doesn't put anyone on par with Shane. You have to do it for a sustained period to even be mentioned and no other American player has yet.

Justin to win by 2 or 3 racks

I agree with this
Shane is not exactly breaking great so far.
Of cos Shane is favorite but going by Fargorate (which is not 100% accurate  ) they are only only about 30 points apart and we have seen many upsets between players more than 30 points apart. Shane will win majority of matches if they play 10 matches but this is only 1 match.
On the mental side, Justin has nothing to lose and pressure is on Shane not to fall into losers side. If Justin wins lag and gets early lead, he will have upperhand as Shane isnt great at winning when behind. My guess is Justin wins by 11-9 or 11-8

early

Yes. I really want to see this match although it's going to cost me a few hours of sleep this evening! I only paid for this evening when I found out they were matching up!

If Justin beats Shane tonight, Justin will be the clear favorite to win the entire tournament.

i agree Justin is a great player but i dont think it will happen i also feel shane is a ball ahead of Justin. But with two players of this caliber anything can happen.

Rhea congrats on your win!!!!!!!
