SVB - Player Rep for OB-1

I just noticed on the OB-1 Web-site that Shane is a player rep for them. What exactly does that mean? Does that mean that he uses an OB-1? I do not remember reading that on the actionreport web-site when they did a write up of his equipement. Even better if Shane happens to read this he can comment. HUGE SVB fan here! I haven't seen him play live yet but I really like his game and the kind of person he seems to be (which from all that I have heard is completely accurate).

I totally agree, BVal. SVB, is a great young man and playing better every day. He deserves all that comes his way.

I watched him play and practice for several hours this last weekend in Olathe and he was using a Joss with a standard Joss shaft. He was very enjoyable to watch and was a very classy person in victory and defeat.

He no longer PLAYS with an ob-1 shaft. As to what it means to be a player rep without playing with one, I have no answer.

i also was able to watch SVB play and practice as well as talk to him in Olathe this past weekend and all I can say is wow. He has such a natural nack for the game and puts forth a very very good image for the sport. All weekend he was more than willing to play/ talk to anyone, sign items for people (I got him to sign my extra shaft ), and keep an amazingly positive image throughout the entire tournament, even when he ended up loosing his first match on Sunday to Joey Gray from OK. It was an extremely close match and I know it was unforseen to me that it was going to work out that way. Either way, they both played phoenominal.

People like Shane is what the future of pool needs more of. People that are able to keep a positive attitude towards the game, fans, everyone through both victory and defeat.

I don't know what shaft he uses but everytime I have seen him, if he wasn't in action, he was at a table hitting balls and practicing.

I guess that's just determination, drive and dedication. A nice guy on top of it all.

If Joey is who I'm thinking about, he is really young. Like 19 now. I played him a few years ago. I think his dad was a good player who bred him young. I heard he went on the road at 12.
