Kuwait #1 has a tough bracket. First larry nevel (who he managed to beat)
and then SVB.

His lag was within a ball wdith of the rail but shane's froze to the rail lol.
That cost him 3 racks in a row.
Shane's 4th break was dry, he passed back a push, omar fired and missed,
shane's out.

So, 4-0 and all Omar has had is one very tough shot.
Shane finally had a problem he couldn't fix, a cluster he missed breaking out twice.
Omar safes, shane jumps but sells out, and Omar finally has a realistic chance
to win a rack. Can't dismiss the guy, he placed 3rd in the China Open.

Omar's a monster! Don't worry bout that...he's the underdog against Shane of course but he plays lights out!

Wow, jinx, omar's showing some nerves but he's got awesome skills.
Shooting almost perfect accustats, was dry breaking but he's figure it out for the last 2 racks.

He played a great safe and shane was forced to jump kick, and went right in the hole.

Ties it up 4-4!

they had an awesome exchange of safeties. omar played a kick safe I like a lot, going off the head rail
and sticking the cue ball, 1 goes off the side rail and under a wall of balls.

Shane's return is perfect and omar is a good sport, tapping the table to acknowledge it.

Omar's jump doesn't quite sell out, shane plays a conservate roll-up-and-tap-it safe,
omar takes a questionable flyer trying to kick the 1 ball in the hole with the cue ball and 1 ball both married on the foot rail.

5-5, all tied up, shane's break is dry. Omar is cutting heavily with a wild CB but making the wing ball.
Shane is just not cutting enough on his break.

6-5 shane... shane played a safe that left a carom but the cue ball had to travel 8 feet to make it.
It picked up a lot of extra topspin on the way so omar made the carom but kept right on plowing ahead
and scratched. Shane fell straight on a ball and was forced to make a long tough 40ish degree cut
on the 8 to drop on the 9. Shane breaks omar's heart drilling it.

7-5 shane. He wasn't cutting enough on his break, now he is. .925 omar and .915 shane... near perfect pool.

Shane takes the next 2... Shane 9-5. Shane's always bearing down but he seems to be taking omar
a little more seriously. Not dry breaking and not taking flyers are long thin cuts.
His opening safety bid on the 1 was poor in 1 rack and set up a makeable 1 plus free chance to ride the 9.

Sadly the bump on the 9 left him thin on the 2 and he hung it.

Ouch... shane breaks nice and gets a moderately challenging 2, leading to an easy 3-9 combo.
His next cut break rock solid and he's gonna win 11-5.

The score doesn't reflect how tough omar played. He doomed himself with that unfortunate carom.
