SVB sportin' a GLOVE in Nicaragua!!!

Stop acting like I did something wrong. If you have a problem email Mr. Wilson and let him be the Judge.

Your defending a guy that alleged I was trying to smear someone's reputation is pretty infantile.

I suggest, since you wrongly came to a conclusion about me from my posts, that you get someone with a sense of humor to go over them again. Then go over the guys post you are defending, without any prejudices towards me.

I hope you find that it's blatantly insulting what the guy said about the op, myself, or any of the people I was being jocular with about a topic which we are all entitled to having our own opinion.

I know you're smart because you picked a good time to come at me. The vagina comment was the result of his post.

I still think the guys post is stupid, that will never change. But that doesn't matter. What matters is that you have made it a point that I may say offensive things to people such as yourself. I'm not going to try and understand this....I'll just accept it for future reference. In return, maybe you can go over some of these things and we can be friends later. I'm really not that big of a jerk. And it's ok to say Vagina, I didn't see any parental guidance labels when I logged in.

I'll reply to that in your own words "Take a chill pill dude."

lol sucks dont it!

I asked him about the glove a few weeks ago and his response was pretty funny. Here it is pretty much verbatim:

Me: You use the glove because of the humidity?

SVB: I been using it for about a month. Its smooth I like it.

SVB: I'm turning into Earl.

Me: I'll order your ass weights.

Now this^^^^^^ this is funny!:thumbup::thumbup:

Gloves

It is very dry here and I use a glove every time I play. A lot of players use a glove, what's the big deal. If you want to rant how about those silly jump cues, players should either kick or jump with their playing cue.

I learned to compensate for heat and humidity afflicted areas by forming my bridge with my thumb-nail at the base; the cue slides across the nail no matter what. If gloves were something I knew of when I was first starting, I'd have used one... and if I thought I'd play better with one now, I'd start. I've seen far greater fashion faux pas at the pool table

The glove move is no more

I can see only one problem with Corey wearing a glove. Back in the day one of the best ways to get action in a strange room was to get a table and then start digging in your case to find a glove. If it was some "pretty color", other than black, even better. Now with players like Corey starting to wear gloves, that move can be scratched off the list.

yeah i laughed when i saw this too! LOL
but i respect the kids just trying to win and will adapt to conditions. thats a sign of wisdom
go Shane!

Geez, I started this thread as a tongue-in-cheek kind of good-natured ribbing at the people on this site that absolutely HATE the glove, and it turns into a pi$$ing contest for a couple or three fellas. It was all meant to be for fun. WTH is getting into people nowadays??? The HEAT???

Let's just have some fun with it from this point forward, okay?

Maniac (fun like JoeyA's post above)

Thank goodness for that last line you wrote. I was starting to worry if you thought I was being serious. I do however, wear a glove. :D

I can't believe gloves have been out for almost 25 years and people still think its a big deal to wear one lol I've been wearing one since they came out. I just made sense to me. One less thing to think about when down on a ball. Most bars and clubs around here don't allow you to use powder and got rid of the powder cone on the wall a long time ago. I was always told it was bad for the cloth and bad for your cue shaft. It can get into and Knicks that might be in there and then expand with humidity or the moisture on your hand. God pool players just hate change lol.

Moh and in an interview last night svb said deciding to now wear a glove was the best tinghe ever did lol

The glove is so taboo in bars. I had to stop wearing one just to avoid bar fights.

That's fuggin funny! There are worse people that one could be compared to than Earl...

I am kind of one of the, "I maybe kind of wear a glove sometimes" crowd. I don't like it, but it's better than the alternative of having your cue squeak through your fingers.

Some people's hands sweat, yo.

thats what powder is for:rolleyes:

You guys do realize he is getting paid right? Doesn't he use a cuetech to?
Its Ok to wear a glove if they are paying you to wear it.
