SVB versus Shaw score updates...Anybody?

why is everyone wanting ko pin yi to play svb ? he already did and beat him and was playing bad, well least breaking bad, Love shaw but too immature and no chance to win. race to 100 alex beats svb everyone forgets about that.

svb top top player no question but still a lot to prove to the non americans. has a losing mosconi record and no title/s abroad. is not in the sam league as Appleton / hohmann example in terms of credentials

True. He hasn't won a major overseas yet. Hohmann was on the verge of quitting pool when he won his first WC.

But ask those guys if they like getting in the box and putting up their WC trophies against Shane in a race to 100 and I bet they both decline.

Not because they can't win but because they know full that they can lose.

Sometimes players just have dry spells where for whatever reason they can't get it all together in certain areas. Doesn't mean they are less of a player they just haven't broken the spell yet.

Shane is the undisputed king of the ring in the race to 100 format though. So even if he doesn't have the hardware collection that they do he has the cash. :-)

14 - 4 it was a race to 15. I get your point though. The match between Alex and Shane where Alex came from behind is the best match I've ever watched and I've watched it 11 times all 21 1/2 hours of it.

P.S. I might watch it again.

That's pretty amazing! I don't even think I've watched it through one time.

Freddie <~~~ but everyone should

Easily the best match I've ever seen. I'm with you. I've watched it probably close to twenty times. I usually watch pool when I go to bed and that was the match I watched for a long time. I can tell you just about every layout and ball made in the whole set.

Alex was down by 22 games at some point in the second day in the race to 100 against Shane, and I think Shane was already at or past the 50 game mark. So if they were playing a race to 50 there would have been no come back by Alex and Shane would have won. So I disagree.

It was at 63-41 when he started making his comeback. At the end of the day he was down 70-63. Just as impressive, in day three he was down 84-69 (15 games) and wins the match 100-94. That's a 31-10 beat down at the end. Shane had two massive leads and Alex closed on him twice. I don't know that anyone else in pool has the heart to make those comebacks though.

You would have to purchase it from someone. I don't believe it is on the TAR video on demand site yet. It isn't cheap but it is absolutely worth it. I believe it was $100 when I first bought it. Could probably get it used here from someone. I've seen it sold for around $75-80.

There is some great TAR videos available here if you're interested:

thank you sir!

Shaw makes sick 3 then rail first spins 4 of end rail to corner. Runs out easy to make it 51 to 59.
He's now won. 18 to 9 today.

Shaw within 9

We said in the Alex/Shane match that if Alex got within the same decade (within 10 and starting the number), then Shane would have a tough time finishing. But Shane had stopped eating. I would hope he learned from that.

Freddie <~~~ banana or a coffee

53 to 62
SVB hasn't gotten going.
Shaw playing a few great safes and shooting in balls from everywhere.
Breaks as nd has shot on 1 now tough on 2 safe again

shit, my stream has been down for over an hour and no word from upstale al. this sucks, i want a refund for the horrible lack of tech support.

That sucks Randall.
Shane 64 Shaw 57 and in line on 5.
Yeah he's gotta be out. All laying easy. He's on 8 and it's in too. Guy has no fear. On 10.
Down by only 6. 58 to 64.

6 sitting in side. Shane hammered 2 into it and it just rattled. He puts his hands in the air like the gods don't love him anymore.

Shaw runs out in a minute. Down by only 5. Unreal.

Shaw makes 9 in side . Has good shot on 1. Banks it in and he's in line for runout.
In about 1.5 minutes he runs out to the 6 and jaws it. God he plays quick. Shane hit 6 bad. Long on 6 but makes it. He gets weird on 10 but cuts it in.
Looking shaky but up another game
If he doesn't pull away soon he could be in trouble here.
Dry break and Shaw has 1 ball
