SVB vs Bowman on the bar table for $5000

Jesse is no slouch on a bar table for sure. But Shane is like a god on a bar table. Remember Shane's bread and butter coming up was BB 8-ball in this area. He Played the Pollman Memorial tournament spotting the WORLD to alot of very good BB players and still wound up second. He gave 4 on the wire Oley in the finals. That's STRONG.

I don't like this game for Jesse if it's winner break.

Yes and to listen to obey speak of Shane the are in a different category, and Oley is no slouch himself.

For anyone wondering why Jesse would butt heads with SVB, just note 1) Jesse doesn't duck a BB match and 2) Jesse & SVB have been battling all over the midwest for a looong time. This isn't the first & it won't be the last.

Jesse tortured Shane forever...but Shane would pump back up & come back for more. IMO, it's a significant part of what made Shane the player he is today. Now Shane is "He can't beat me" SVB yet they continue to match up whenever they cross paths.

I have a feeling this rivalry will continue on until they are crotchety old men.

Actually what make shane the player is today is the matches he had with Rory Hendrickson. Jut ask Shane and he will tell you, or even Justin from TAR.

I am certainly not going to match Jesse up or help him match up. You know the action in St Louis or at least I think I know you should. If you think that your bet would get the ball rolling, then I'd get in touch with the source of the action. Not to offend, but I don't think your bet would make a difference in a game such as that happening or not.

I think I know the action here and cannot figure anyone playing him even. I could be wrong. Jesse would normally bet enough to matter, just saying I would like to bet if I like the game and it might be worth trying to set up if I could bet $1,000 or more. Not worth a phone call if nothing would actually happen or he's got to give up the 6 out or something.

So what is really the game they are going to play? Is it 9 ball a race to 20 best of 3 sets, alternate breaks and Jesse gets 3 on the wire each set? Just curious because I have heard so many different versions of what the game really is.

Re Jesse, a personal grind, eh, Watchez? :grin-square:

I have an off-topic question for you. For some reason, I just got interested in Full Throttle, the TV show about partying bikers. Don't ask. :o

Usually, I end up watching it when nothing else is on TV that piques my interest. I have the best cable money can buy, and I still get bored sometimes.

Full Throttle moved to St. Louis in the last episode. Do you know anything about the Full Throttle in St. Louis? If so, what's the reception like?

In South Dakota, they have a lot of land available, so the partiers can party hardy, but in St. Louis region, I just cannot envision this.

Back to the thread, if Jesse Bowman is hitting 'em, has it game on, he can keep up or defeat The Shanester, but if he's hitting them like Scott, playing occasionally, not serious about his game, I don't think he stands a chance. :)

Note to self: The two matches in recent times are Shane vs. Mike Dechaine and Frost vs. Alex. Okay. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Haven't slept more than 2 hours straight in 10 years. Big problem with sleep deprivation. Bigger problem with too much work and not enough resources and time in the day to get jobs done.

JAM <---may have premature Alzheimer's :(

The last time SVB came to town, Jess jumped up & played him cold. How many have the heart to do that?

I hope there is not a serious reason this match didn't happen.
