Name in Chinese characters is same and pronounced same. Since he moved to mainland China they use different pinyin system to put in English letters which is now Wu Jia Qing
Yup those chinese folks throws a lot of Qs and Xs and Js in their pinyin system

I don't think he is a clear favorite, but (I have seen Wu play live) I don't
think anyone is a clear favorite over Wu either.

Wu has been out for two years. I don't think he is at the same level as before yet. Once upon a time I thought he was the best tournament player in the world. Now he is beatable. SVB may be the favorite right now.

Boy seems to me 9 Ball between players of this caliber is a crap shoot. Its like straight pool used to be in he old days, when you are playing to 125 and either player can run out from anywhere anytime it seemed like anyone could win. But even then, I guess the best player somehow won more often than not.
I guess that when two guys capable of playing Accustats .9870 for 13 racks get together then one who can bring that level most often will win most often.
Lord would I like to see this match.

I don't believe it's ridiculous. I too, thought he was the best in the world until that last 10-ball match on the big table against Earl where it looked like Earl was in complete control. SVB said he was at a distinct disadvantage under those conditions. I thought SVB could easily overcome the conditions (ridiculously tight or poorly cut pockets + big table) and beat Earl. I guess it was only one match, albiet a long race, and you can't really place much importance in one outing.
