SW JP's FS- Tellin on Cuecaps

Quick story behind these caps: Last summer I contacted Alton Takata (AZ handle cuecaps) to build me a custom set of JPs for my '05 South West that is Macassar and Amaranth w/lt blue and maple veneers. At the time I had the two original shafts and quickly added a couple of OB-1's. Alton is a consummate professional, communicated constantly, and was 100% reliable in everything he said as well as a great craftsman. When I received the caps (1B 3S), both he and I were aware that the blue veneer was just a bit off (through no fault of his- its tough to match veneer via pictures). I was pleased with the result and happy with the entire transaction. In the mean time, Alton investigated and found a better veneer shade and wanted to make another set-I wanted to pay his out of pocket costs but he declined so I just ordered the 4th shaft JP. On the new set, Alton made 2 caps for the butt with different figuring as well as 4 shaft caps and sent them to me with instructions to just keep the previous set-all at no additional cost!

So here's the deal- we don't have enough folks in the pool industry with Alton's character. I am selling the extra caps and my delrin SW joint protectors at reduced price and all payment will go to Alton (I can probably arrange to have you pay direct to his paypal if you desire). If you want to pay more in support that's fine too. PM me if you're interested.

Here are the caps: (Note: set 2 has slightly different shades on the blue veneers as the butt cap is from the second set, but they're real close)

-All sets are now sold-

Thanks,
Steve

Thanks Everyone!!!!!!

AZ Guys are so cool!!!.. Thanks for all the nice things you all say about me...:) ..Thanks so much Steve, You've made me feel so good, I got tears in my eyes...
I've been getting so much trouble with my clear coat finishes on my caps, I really wanted to give up making caps. Matching veneers, trying to match the wood's grain and color to the customer's cues. It's a fustrating job. ..You guys make me feel like I got new Life and there's still hope..Thanks to all!!!!!!!

I have to throw my $.02 in here. Having just bought a JP from Alton, I heartily agree that he is a consumate professional and a pleasure to deal with. Oh, and the caps are great, too!

Steve is a great guy in doing this for Alton. What a class act! Alton does do great work and I am lucky to see a lot of the caps he builds for this community every week.
