Hi Fatboy,
Thanks for the very nice comments.
You have been a special personality in our genre for a lot of years.
I remember well how I won this cue out from under you in auction.
I hate to think what the last 20 seconds cost me, maybe a boat trip around the world!
Have a great Christmas!
Your friend,
Will

So near but so far. Wil sniped a bid last second or I’d own that cue. I’m happy my friend Wil got it. After it sold a few months later I spoke to the seller, hell of a great guy too.

JB made history with that case 11 almost 12 years ago. That’s a very special case for a very important cue in our sports history.

Wil has a tremendous love for pool, cues and people in pool. I’m glad he has it in his collection. Far as I know he still has it, if he doesn’t I’m pretty sure who does and it’s in a good spot. I keep all my Szam’s nice and warm at night.

Happy holiday

Hi Eric,

I don't think you were around when it happened but but you know the seller, Kevin Brewer passed away right? He had a heart attack 5 years ago and it killed me too. We were good friends and he was indeed a great guy.

I heard about Kevin’s passing from Russ (pool hustler) pretty fast, they were neighbors. I wasn’t here but I’m always in contact with someone from here.

It wasn’t Kevin who I spoke to, I don’t think. Maybe I’m wrong. It was in Hollywood Billiards I met a guy and seems like Kevin was there, guy as I recall was from Palm Springs or something. I think Kevin helped him with the sale. This is how I remember it-but I will add that my memory isn’t 100% clear on this.

Was so sad about Kevin-last time I saw him was at Ernies shop maybe 2 years before he passed. Great guy, always liked him. He was a eBay pro!!!

I hope you have been well Chris, I took a break from AZB. I was in here nonstop when my back was so bad I couldn’t do anything else. I made so many friends and a few enemy’s too. Coming here reminded me of being in bad shape. So I took a break, but I sure didn’t forget what-for better or worse AZB has done for me and wonderful people I’ve met here. I been around pool forever, this is part of it. Until I’m dead-Fatboy will always be around, maybe not under the lights-just lurking around. But I’ll never disappear.

Happy holidays to everyone

I haven’t been to Germany much. I still have your number and you still have mine. I will be in Germany this year for sure. I’ll find you!

Please say hello to everyone there for me, lots of great guys in the German pool world!

Your memory is sharp! The cue belonged to Kevin's good friend who bought it way back when and Kevin sold it for him. He did live in Palm Springs. I think that was Kevin's first real pool cue sale and it put him on the map. He and I played pool regularly. He sold a lot of my cues as well and was a saint when it came to business. I truly miss him.

At one time Kevin was a top notch golfer. I had stopped golfing for 20 years. Now I live on a golf course in the Central Coast and would give anything to have a round or two with him here and Scotland. That's why we shouldn't put stuff off.
