the guy that owned this cue drew up the design and had gus build the cue, and if i am not mistaken, two of the shafts have never been chalked. the owner was a personal friend of mine, so i gave him the introduction to gus to have the cue built. i can vouch for the authenticity and history of the cue.
good luck with the sale

hey skip, the letter from andy to gus refrences your name, as i played with skip c cue and was so impressed i needed one!and 2 of the shafts are in new condition one has been chalked but not played!( no signs of play) and the 2 others had many hours of play!

How common it was for Gus to put his name on a cue? It was not that common and the ones that have it command a premium. Its the same way with Barry.Ithink he reserves it for friends>

Yesterday I recieved my Barry in the mail,Ifelt like a kid on December 25,after all the cues I've had you would think, ho hum, well after seeing your pictures, box and all ,I picked up my cue at fed ex @8am, put the box in the car drove home carefully opened the box to save ,so i would have a neat package like Grassly,I mean i was handling this box better than I do my playing cue, what I am saying is I have become a cue nerd thanks to those pictures of yours.

Dean
