Table cloth recommendations appreciated

I really appreciate your recommendations for new cloth. Here's the situation:

Community recreation center table, 8-foot with very forgiving pockets (Presidential Billiards brand).

The players are mostly 50+years old. All are casual-only players and have just-for-fun tournaments amongst ourselves. As you can imagine, we have all level of players except really good ones

I've only seen 8-, 9- and 10-ball played on the table; no one-pocket or straight pool players that I know of.

Anyway, the cloth is beat up and needs to be replaced. I lean toward Simonis 860HR for its durability; from the Simonis website it sounds like the 760SR would be too fast for us.

Any other recommendations? Thanks.

Don't think you could go wrong with 860HR, just had it put on my table
and it plays great. I wouldn't worry about the pockets being to big
based upon your description you don't need tight pockets.

I agree that the 760 would be too fast for that table and for recreational players.

860hr is great but I would advise against using this if this is the 1st cloth you have installed yourself. If you go with the 860hr have a pro do it, imo.

What about this? The pattern might help in aligning some of those long troublesome cut shots, as well as providing an attractive surface for the occasional buffet/pool tournament.

Thanks for the advice guys. Now if I can just find 860HR in Tramp's color pattern (along with some veal parmesan, red wine and plastic flowers).

Chris - we'll definitely have a pro do the install. BTW, fantastic trick shots video. I usually don't enjoy those very much but yours is very well done.

BobT - wide pockets are just fine with us; no intention to change them at all :D

Thanks for the kind words.

BTW the main reason I said its best to use a pro to install that cloth is because the HR cloth can be difficult to get stretched properly. Even with some so called professional table mechanics I have seen returned visits because of how much the cloth relaxed. Check the mechanics section for a good reference on a mech in your area.

Best of luck to ya,
Chris

Another reason the HR is a good choice is because it is more resistant to burn marks, and I've a sense the ball sets at this facility are relatively cheap and more prone to burning the cloth.

And definitely get someone who knows what they're doing.
