I have a Diamond Paragon ordered with League Cut pockets, (They asked twice if I was sure I did not want Pro Cut.) They are supposed to be 4.75" but I measure 4.625". I measured 3.875" for Throat Size. But, in case I was off measuring, I used 4.75 for Mouth Size and 4.0" for Throat Size. It comes out to 0.97, Average, whether I use that or the 4.625 and 3.875.

I’ve only been playing for 2 years. Practice everyday. Am on two leagues in my area. This Brunswick is new two me two weeks ago. Previous was an 8’ Olhausen. Despite being a larger table the Brunswick seems much easier to play than the 7 or so other tables I’ve played.

The TDF score is on the border of Easy/Average. I wonder if I should ask the mechanic to shim the cushion corners?

If you look at the factor tables in the TDF document, you will see that the different values are still in the same ranges. That's why the numbers and TDF result are not different.

It would be interesting to determine if the component TDF factors should be weighted. I personally believe facing angle and shelf depth are significantly more important.

I don't see any reference to the style of cushions and weather a table has rounded style"snooker" pockets or the more square shaped 8 ball or 9 ball pockets.
also no reference to ball size.
My antique BBC table has the snooker style pockets ( monarch cushions) and it has snooker cloth and the pockets are rounded. after experimenting with measuring the height of the cushions , its about 1/8" taller than the 12 foot snooker table I play on.

they run 1 1/16" balls on the snooker table I can run those but it also seems happy with the larger 2 1/4" balls. they still dont lift on my table if you take a hard shot into the end rail for example. On the snooker table they do bounce and they are running 2 1/16" I think 2" will be that smallest that do not bounce.

my 1964 brunswick 7' table uses 1 7/8 balls.

Obviously the ball size and pocket opening size have a co-relationship.
I see there are some older tables on the list, but I dont know if the square style pockets were even being used in the early years. ? When did they become popular?

I don't see any reference to the style of cushions and weather a table has rounded style"snooker" pockets or the more square shaped 8 ball or 9 ball pockets.
also no reference to ball size.
My antique BBC table has the snooker style pockets ( monarch cushions) and it has snooker cloth and the pockets are rounded. after experimenting with measuring the height of the cushions , its about 1/8" taller than the 12 foot snooker table I play on.

they run 1 1/16" balls on the snooker table I can run those but it also seems happy with the larger 2 1/4" balls. they still dont lift on my table if you take a hard shot into the end rail for example. On the snooker table they do bounce and they are running 2 1/16" I think 2" will be that smallest that do not bounce.

my 1964 brunswick 7' table uses 1 7/8 balls.

Obviously the ball size and pocket opening size have a co-relationship.
I see there are some older tables on the list, but I dont know if the square style pockets were even being used in the early years. ? When did they become popular?

The TDF system applies only to pool tables (with flat pocket facings).

Measured these up last night, as the boss in the store I play at was quite interested to know.

Aileex table (think it's a Taiwanese brand) - 9', 4 1/8", 9/16", 1.5" (1.37)

Also, have access to a Diamond in the same store - 9', 4", 1/4", 1 1/8" (1.41)

I get confused with inches, but pretty sure these are correct (used a foreign tape measure - as Chinese measuring equipment can sometime use their old version of inches

).

These are the two tables I play on regularly. I play on the Aileex free of charge (pay 10% rate to play on the diamond - which I will choose if it's not already occupied - they have about 20 Aileex tables (4 of which are like this, the others are 'easier') and 4 Diamonds (1 is this spec the others are 'easier'))
