GC II, done by realkingcobra in the last few months, basically from the ground up. Simonis 860 HR in tournament blue with new rails and, I might add, the most amazingly level table I or any of my friends have every played on. Environment is climate controlled, humidity between 42-48 percent, temperature 65-70° F. Current conditions are 45 percent humidity, 65.7° F.
Just went downstairs and with an old set of Brunswick centennials, recently cleaned in a single Platter Diamond ball polisher, my 59.5", 20.25 oz. Gina cue, and just over a medium stroke went 4 rails, almost freezing the cue ball to the rail. Then I tried a pretty good stroke, maybe around 75%, and was consistently between 4 1/2+ - 4 3/4 lengths. Was surprised at how much an increase in power had such a minimal effect on distance. Then went with the most level stroke I could, about the most power I could muster with a controlled hit and managed 5 lengths plus a half a diamond. With a little practice I believe I could improve on this. Will drink 2 pots of coffee, stay up alll night, and report my results. Thanks for starting me on this.
