Not a Zylr.
Different configuration and different rings.
Tad Classic look for sure.

Nice wood Dave.
I think it resembles a Tad with the long butt cap, ring, etc.
I like those BEM Tads, and this should be a nice cue.

i really love figured woods but sometimes when you look at nice birds eye. nothing beats it IMO.

btw if you look at the two handles. the top handle was one from about a year i had left over from another company. the bottom one i got from bell forest products. no where near the same. i will be ordering EVERYTHING from bell forest from now on. nice tight grain nice golden color. not all white like some maple.

IMO the bottom cue will play better based on the wood. only one more turn to go. next week

Tad-ish

Love that Dave. That looks just like the Tad I've 'always wanted'.

you can always make it a Tadlyr cue by adding a buck horn joint with out collar and collar for the shaft with phenolic insert.

Please do show us how it turns out and how it plays.

Who is building it?

i am building it. i abso hate buckhorn!!!!! i will never use it in a cue. dont like the way it looks. customer wanted pics and his email wouldnt accept so i just posted. he lurks but doesnt post.

it came out so well i made one for myself

played with it today and WOW... im dead out of stroke and still broke and ran 2 racks or more 4 different times in 4 hours. this is the first cue i played with using juma ferrule material. i did a few for some customers but i like ivory so much i rarely use anything else. played real nice

I was noticing that bottom piece looked like a premium chunk of lumber....

its accually #1 from bell forest. not even exe... i am impressed. i prob wont buy wood from anywhere else

Now this is a perfect example of the "Less is More" mentality.

Very clean and well executed.

Great job on a timeless classic design!

thanks. im gonna put my own spin on a few more changing the veneer colors. maroon and baby blue instead of green and orange. should be great

No Tad Zyler hybrid? awwwwww! I always wonder how that would turn out.

I think maybe Zyler does not use buck horn and something else because the material he uses seems to look clean and smooth like marble. Not like the blackish streaks you see now in most buck horn.

Anyway its your cue. It looks so Tad it is freaky. Then again, it also looks Cuemasterish!
